Good Representation of Buck's Live Shows,

I captured this show on VHS video when Austin City Limits first aired it, and am happy to get the audio CD to compliment it. It's a good representation of Buck's live performances over the last ten years, many of which I was fortunate to attend in Southern California. It also makes a nice addition to the studio collection of Buck's works. For more of this genre, see also the Derailers and Dwight Yoakam, both with tribute albums to Buck.

Buck was re-energized and in great voice for this edition of "Austin City Limits". He whips effortlessly through one song after another, alternating his hit ballads with up tempo movers and keeping the audience rocking. Buck Owens is a very underrated legend, I think; this CD proves that he still had "it" in the late 1980s.
