The songs end oddly sometimes, cutting off earlier than they should, which is obvious to those who have seen Isaak and his band in concert, such as on "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing," which generally extends longer in concert. I look hopefully forward to a 2 disk version that more completely reflects how great Chris Isaak is in concert.

My Cd just arrived from Australia and what a thrill to have an official live show from Chris released. He and his band Silvertone have been tearin it up for over 20 years now and this release is long overdue. Sound quality is superb and song selection is great as well. The only complaint I have is that every song is faded out. I don't know if this is one concert but it disturbs the flow a little. Needless to say, if you are a fan, you will love it. I assume it will be released in the U.S. also.

It's about time an official live CD has finally been released of Chris and his band, as they always put on an awesome show. I have seen him in concert 5 times now and never seen or heard a bad show and I have tickets to see him for the 6th time this coming September. While "Live In Australia" is a great example of a Chris Isaak concert,with it's great little stories and wonderful music, it's a case of you really had to be there to completely enjoy and appreciate one of his concerts. If you ever get the chance, go to one of his live shows and get the complete experience. A chris Isaak concert is always full of new stories, new music and a time you'll never forget. LIVE IN AUSTRALIA is a must have for any Chris Isaak fan!

Some concert cds sound way better than they did when you hear them live. This is not the case with Chris Isaak Live in Australia. First the sound quality does not sound sharp at all but rather muffled. The second thing that disappointed me was that Chris has a great band that has been with him since the very start, but they delivered the music as though it was straight off the regular cd. I was really hoping that they would have a different take on the standards that were played.

From my opening review you would think I hated the cd, and that is not the case. Any Chris Isaak cd is a great addition to a collection and Live In Australia is no exception. This cd provides a look into how funny and yet sincere Chris really is. He is a great entertainer and it shows in his banter that is picked up on this cd. He enjoys performing and it shows on this disk, he gave 110%. The song selection is very solid and the cd is over an hour of hits. I paid full price $25 for the cd and I feel like it was worth. My only complaint is that the sound was not as good as a typical live cd.

This CD is a great representation of a live Chris Isaak concert complete with introductions and interaction with the band and audiance which show their keen sense of humor. The band and Chris also show off their playing and vocal skills.
It contains a terrific selection of hits and is a good representation of their concert tours here and overseas. Mr. Lucky is his latest CD and is very highly recommended! I would also recommend the DVD of their Soundstage concerts and Christmas concerts. This live show is a great cross-section of Chris's big hits and top road songs. I especially enjoyed "I'll Go Crazy" when I heard him do it on stage, and now I have it on record to enjoy any time.
This CD is in rotation in my car for long trips. The only drawback to hearing a live show over again is that Chris's comedy bits get stale after repeated plays. But never the music! The BEST.

This live album showcases his great band, and is one of his strongest albums. Its clear he loves playing in Australia and his banter between some of the songs makes it have a homey feel. In short a fantastic record by a solid performer.

If you want to smile and feel good while listening to music then put this on. Chris and his band will make a great soundtrack to your day!

First of all I want to say that I am a big Chris Isaak fan. I have seen him twice in concert back in 1998 and just last summer in 2009 and both concerts were very good. Having said that I am disappointed with this live CD. The sound quality is good and so are the song selections however when I am buying a live CD I am looking for the artists to really rip into the songs and give us a longer extended version (5 or 6 minutes) like you actually expereince at a live concert and this is not the case at all. This is my only complaint but for a live CD version it is a fairly big complaint because I am really looking for something a little different with a live CD and I don't hear it here at all. A good example of what I am talking about is Paul Simon's live double CD Concert In Central Park released in 1991, in some of the songs he is really jamming for 6 or 7 minutes, one song that he really lets loose on is Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes which is about 10 minutes long. Having said all this, Chris Isaak is one of my favorite musicians and I look forward to seeing him in concert again.

The cd came sooner than expected and I am very happy. I haven't listened to it yet, but I will as I drive home from work this evening.
