This review is from: How to Live With Autism and Asperger Syndrome: Practical Strategies for Parents and Professionals (Paperback)
This is a different kettle of fish to Tony Attwood. But very valuable. Tony is a god and the tone is optimistic generally which is good as an introduction but he doesn't get to the nitty gritty of faecal soiling or being awake all night! This book is more directly concerned with specific problems of behaviour. Education is not covered. I wish I had had it when my own AS child was awake all night long. I would have tried the technique that keeps them up 1 hour longer than the time they drop off eventually!
Very practical, very sensible. If you havnt got a particular problem they discuss then thank your lucky stars and be grateful. If you have then this will give you good advice. |
