Grade 9 Up–In this second entry in the series, Gaia is dismissed for not following procedures, but is then given a second chance by her supervisor: to solve the murder of a local woman. Gaia interrupted the crime and caught a glimpse of the killer, but she doesnt remember much and has to learn the ropes of investigation with her partner, Catherine. The rookie has also been flirting with another student, Will, whom she is attracted to but he feels threatened by her. Their competition has made it difficult for them to talk to one another. As the partners investigate the case, Gaia struggles with her own flaws. The intrigue intensifies when Catherine disappears and the FBI believes her to be dead. Modern phrases and references will soon date the story, and the contrived conversations detract from the action. About the Author

Francine Pascal is one of the most popular fiction writers for teenagers today and the creator of several best-selling series, including Fearless and Sweet Valley High, which was also made into a television series. She has written several novels, including My First Love and Other Disasters, My Mother Was Never a Kid, and Love & Betrayal & Hold the Mayo. In writing her stories, Ms. Pascal is inspired by her own memories of growing up and by the experiences of her three daughters.

I wish this book would have went on a little farther. I am dying to know what happened to Catherine. Gaiga's friends hardly ever die though. I have a lot of faith in this story after reading all the first series of fearless. I love when she was sparring, and when she is in action doing anything above the normal, that's what makes the chacter Gaia so interesting. I hope that Gaia may run into Ed in one of these books, maybe he would want to go into the FBI he always had a saving people thing. I can't wait to read the next book.

I love the all of the fearless books and this one is no exception.
In this book Gaia and Catherine continue the murder investigation, only it doesn't stop at one murder.
More murders follow and it is their job to find out if it's the work of a serial killer or of a copycat.
Gaia and Catherine also have to concentrate on their FBI training with the other NAT's, so they're very busy.
And Gaia and Will continue to explore their feelings for one another.
This book was once again really great and i can't wait for the next book , too bad we'll have to wait for 5 months.

As my title states, "Wow". I couldn't put this book down. The plot is intricate. The suspense is incredible. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I recommend this book to kids over 13 who like realistic/mysteries.
