I hate it they had one of those typical spats and the greatest bass player in this genre is off doing Joy Division covers, but I got over it and this one doesn't disappoint. At least at recreating and adding a fresh touch to the old songs. The new Bass dude did his homework and powers through the bass lines very well, luckily for Bernie, who has kept this band relevant and big stadium worthy it seems like.

New Order is as significant to electronic music as the Beatles or the Stones to the pop music scene, as such songs as Perfect Kiss and Bizarre Love Triangle attest.

They had a significant drop off in quality when they tried to reform in the mid to late 90s. Bernard's song writing got, well, goofy. The Siren's album had a couple okay cuts, and then most less than memorable songs and actually some horrendous ones. (Did he really pen the lyrics to some song called Dracula's Castle? ouch.) Krafty is the weakest cut on this live set as well.

But nonetheless, Low-Life and Brotherhood, are this genre's White Album or Dark Side of the Moon and pieces of this live set illustrate that nicely.

Highly Recommended.

This is a good set of live music from New Orders tour of 2012, but I must warn you about the first two songs, the band is a bit rough on the first two songs, but then quickly find their mark for the rest of the set. Also, this is a charity disk, proceeds go to a British charity.

I have followed New Order all my life. I was there the night of Ian Curtis (Joy Division) last gig at the Factory in Hulme Manchester and there for Bernard's New Order introduction with Movement in 1980. This live recording gives some extended remixes of their classic releases throughout the years. But, they also give a couple of Joy Division favorites too such as Transmission and Love will tear us apart again. Simply a classic.
