BEST BILLY BOB'S EVER,
By A Customer
This review is from: Live at Billy Bob's Texas (Pat Green) (Audio CD)
Live at Billy Bob's is the "essential" Pat Green cd, so if you've never heard him, get this or "Here We Go (Live)" first. Both live albums are awesome, but Billy Bob's has better sound to it. I give this and Here We Go both 5 Stars, so either is a fine choice. GO PAT.

incredible disc,
This review is from: Live at Billy Bob's Texas (Pat Green) (Audio CD)
Pat Green may be the best songwriter I've heard since John Prine and Garcia/Hunter. There is not one track you'll skip...this is the best CD I've bought in a long, long time.

GREAT COUNTRY MUSIC!!,

This review is from: Live at Billy Bob's Texas (Pat Green) (Audio CD)
I SAW PAT GREEN AT THE "THIS IS GLORY" CONCERT FOR THE RECENT DEDICATION TO THE HILL COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN HILLSBORO EARLIER THIS YEAR. HE PUT ON QUITE A SHOW. I THINK I WITNESSED A SECOND GENERATION OF "TEXAS TROUBADOURS". I AM REMINDED OF THE 70'S...LISTENING TO RAY WYLIE HUBBARD, JERRY JEFF WALKER, WILLIE AND ALL THE OTHER MADD DOGS OF THAT ERA. REMEMBER THE ALAMO, LONG LIVE TEXAS.

I haven't seen Pat in concert since his "Three Days" album, but he use to put on a great show. This was recorded druing that time and it comes across on the record. Orginal, energetic, and flat out good, this album will be appreciated by any Texas Country Music fan or fan of Pat.

Only gets better with age,

When I first purchased this disc, I would've rated it at about three stars but now it is at the top of my play list. This a great album by this so-called regional artist that really grows on you the more you listen. The disc has a real "live" feel to it--great to crank up on summer afternoons and annoy your citified neighbors.I highly recommend this disc to anyone that enjoys good live music.

Darn Good Texas Country Music,
By A Customer
This review is from: Live at Billy Bob's Texas (Pat Green) (Audio CD)
Pat Green has revitalized interest in Texas country singers. This is a great album and doesn't sound "Nashville" ('cause it was recorded at Billy Bob's!). Pat Green's songs are written about all the good things in life: partying, girls, and Texas. A great album for anyone trying to escape the country music fallbacks of wining, crying, dog-left-me, wife-left-me, ain't-my-truck-great style of music.

Pat Green is an exciting performer who's time has not yet come to the wide range of recognition that he deserves. This live album is well done and hints at the excitement that one would encounter form one of his live shows. Worth a listen if you like a good country rocker.

Texas music the right way,
This review is from: Live at Billy Bob's Texas (Pat Green) (Audio CD)
It's funny - we Texans are hardest on our own and while I loved the recent Wave on Wave album, this one is still better. Worth the space in the truck on a roadtrip!
