5.0 out of 5 stars Johnny Paycheck
I have looked for an album by Johnny Paycheck with the song "The Old Violin" for ages. It has been exciting to finally find it. It is one of the most poignant songs ever written. Thanks Amazon for helping me out!

3.0 out of 5 stars Johnny Paycheck Live In Missouri
Johnny Paycheck is live in Branson,Missouri,at the Roy Clark celebrity theatre, 1992, a good solid recording for the legendary Paycheck, with voice in good tone, a top-notch band for back up as Paycheck covers all bases, the ol' George Jone's standard,"Ragged But Right", Gary U.S. Bonds',"She's All I Got","Colorado Kool-Aid","In Memory Of A Memory" also featuring the...

This is a great album. I am not a "Johnny Paycheck" fan per se...but this album has kind of turned me into one. This is just good ol country music, done very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Paycheck, March 26, 2003

This live cd features some of Johnny's hits and a couple of George Jones songs. The live versions are quite different from the studio cuts, but they are very tasteful. His vocal projection is right on key. "FOR A MINUTE THERE", is speeded up making it a good dance number. One that stands out for me is "IN MEMORY OF A MEMORY". It also features the live version of one of my favorites "OLD VIOLIN". All the songs are done very well including "HEART DON'T NEED EYES TO SEE", which is performed by Johnny's band. Being a lead guitarist myself, I especially like the music on every one of these songs this cd has. This is real good honky tonk hardcore OUTLAW country music. A must have for any Paycheck fan. You won't regret it. Guitar Bob

3.0 out of 5 stars Johnny Paycheck Live In Missouri, August 22, 2008

Johnny Paycheck is live in Branson,Missouri,at the Roy Clark celebrity theatre, 1992, a good solid recording for the legendary Paycheck, with voice in good tone, a top-notch band for back up as Paycheck covers all bases, the ol' George Jone's standard,"Ragged But Right", Gary U.S. Bonds',"She's All I Got","Colorado Kool-Aid","In Memory Of A Memory" also featuring the Paycheck original,"Old Violin",a remarkable song that was released on the comeback album,MODERN TIMES, shortly after Paycheck was released from prison. Modern Times is one of the outlaw's better later albums, maybe someday they'll release it on cd. - one problem with this live cd it seems to be shorted three songs, this 2001 cd consist of ten songs where as the Amazon's songlist is listed with thirteen, who knows, this version is a short run of 10 tracks but the sound quality is excellent,(Laser Light,Delta records), good enough for any Johnny Paycheck collection.(the three songs missing are as follows , - Take This Job And Shove It,Slide Off Of Your Satan Sheets, and,Heart Don't Need Eyes To See,probably received the cheaper version.)
