5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent music!!
If you are looking for songs of hope, repentance, and encouragement, with the true anointing of God, look no further! This is an excellent work - great vocals and music, lyrics that make you think and rejoice!

For example,
"He never promised the Cross would not get heavy, or the hills would not be hard to climb. He never offered the victory without...

For example,
"He never promised the Cross would not get heavy, or the hills would not be hard to climb. He never offered the victory without fighting but He said help would always come in time. Just remember when you're standing in the valley of decision and the adversary says 'Give In,' just hold on: Our Lord will show up, and He will take you through the fire again.'

5.0 out of 5 stars Blessed by Spirit-filled Music from The Crabb Family, December 20, 2006
This review is from: Live At Brooklyn Tabernacle (Audio CD)
Our family loves the Crabb family's southern gospel music as it is so refreshingly different than other groups. The Crabb Family has truly blessed my husband and I with their awesome spirit-filled music. Our favorite song of all time is "Through the Fire".

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific!, April 26, 2011

I ordered this album because I thought I'd like to have more Praise music in the style of Jason Crabb's "I'm Amazed" on the Brooklyn Tabernacle album of that name. This album, however, which covers a live performance at the BT, turns out to have only one song with the BT choir, and you hardly notice the choir in it. Also, the band is unlike the BT's.

I was disappointed with the first two songs on the album and only lukewarm toward the next two. I had decided to "write off" the album, but with the fifth song, "Holy Ground," the performance became AMAZING enough for me. From there on until song #15, I felt that the singing, accompaniment, and style were all just TERRIFIC in the best way that Jason Crabb (and Family) performances can be. (And that characteristic "Hallelujah" of his is there a couple of times.)

After hearing the last part of the album, I went back to the first four songs and liked them better, especially "His Grace." I liked the innovative performance of "Don't You Wanna Go?" but still felt lukewarm about the lyrics.

Usually I don't like hearing the harmonica but I liked it pretty well the way it blended in with this band. In the brief rendition of "Amazing Grace," it has a distinctive voice and at the very end of the song there is a little closing sweet "remark" by the harmonica that is an unexpected delight.

"Something's happening in the Graveyard" is a funny song about the Resurrection and I love the line in it that says, "Ain't no grave gonna hold my body down!"

(See the other reviews and read the one with the beautiful lyrics of "Through the Fire.")

I'm glad I got this album. Glory, how the Lord does give us Good Things!
