Hailing from Charleston, S.C., Hootie & the Blowfish ruled the radio during the '90s. In 2003, the band members began holding an annual concert in Charleston, the Homegrown Concert, in an effort to help the needs of local schoolchildren, and they eventually brought these efforts to every corner of the U.S. Live in Charleston captures their 2005 Homegrown Concert, which took place on Aug. 12, 2005, at the Family Circle Magazine Stadium.

Get this CD (and DVD too)! It has the hits and coupled with the energy of a live performance it brings the songs to a higher level. I was lucky enough to see them during this tour and liked it better than their tours during their heyday in the mid-90's. Leave the "band du jour masses" and stick with an honest band with heart still producing excellent music!

Although I typically prefer my music to come for the 60's and 70's, I have to say that Hootie and the Blowfish are my secret guilty pleasure. I just love this band. Love the songs, the members, the voices - just the whole package. I also prefer Live recordings versus studio recordings. I have everything I love in this CD. Thanks guys for a great show!
