Raw Rockin Live Rockabilly by a living legend well into her sixties. You may remember her as the granny that played circles around Brian Setzer in a Beer commercial a few years back. Well she does,play circles around Setzer that is.Her playing style falls into the same catagory as her "rockabilly grandkids", Dexter Romweber formerly of "The Flat Duo Jets" ,and Poison Ivy of "The Cramps". She is a one of a kind original and this record comes with the higfhest recommendations.A+

A great historically document of Cordell Jackson. A talented Memphis blues musician who accomplished many firsts in her long career: first woman record lable owner for one. Cordell has passed and there aren't many available recordings of her Rockin' Country Blues. This solo recording lacks the musical depth of a full band performance, but catches the energy of her personality and playing. It is wonderful that Bughouse Records took the time to put together this nice package. Recomended

Cordell shreds. She unleashes a sonic storm wielding her Hagstrom Corvette like a crazed hyena hopped up on goofballs. She makes those twits from whatever 'punk/boy band' is currently popular look like 2 year olds cryin' for momma. Long live Cordell!
