Best live vocalist ever!,

This review is from: Live in Concert 1987 (Audio CD)
This is a very fine live recording. King Diamond vocals live are just as good as they are on the studio albums which is an amazing feat due to this amazing vocal talents. The set list is great, the performance is excellent and the vocals flawless. Amazing recording and pure King quality! \M/\M/

a good live cd,

though the song selection for this cd had me scratching my head it was the only live diamond cd to that point so you take what you can get. the liner note from diamond about finding the tapes in his dark wet basement with spiders etc is hillarious as im sure the tapes would sound this good after being in a wet basement for years. i have the original and the remaster. you dont get any bonus tracks on the remaster and the fold out poster is gone. i gave away all my originals when the remasters hit the shelves but kept this for the poster inside. but the sound is raw and i respect the fact they released it how it was with no overdubs. if you love the king get this

King Diamond Live shows his brilliance,
By Darryl Keck (Midwest, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Live in Concert 1987 (Audio CD)
Live in 87 shows what I consider the peak in King Diamond's career. I love these songs from Abigail live. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the foolish ommisions of "The Black Horsemen" and "A Mansion in Darkness" which are two of his finest moments. I'd love to hear them live, but despite, this is excellent highlighting the brilliant guitaring of Andy LaRocque who I consider the "Rhoads of the late 80's". Great album from a great band that stands the test of time even today.
