Okay, I'm not really a die-hard Al Martino fan, so I am not inclined to gush. However, after listening to this CD, I've been converted.

Al's voice is robust, melodic and he never drops a note. He's no spring chicken on this 1990 recording, either, which makes it all the more amazing. Al's voice has not yet deteriorated like Sinatra's or even Bennett's in their later years. (Probably no cigarettes.) He sounds like he's 40 on this crisp recording.

This CD is a great buy with good song selection of many great standards. My only complaint is that the entire playing time is under 40 minutes. Too short, but what do you expect for ... The packaging is in nice color and there are nice liner notes briefly canvassing Al's 50-year career in show business. Buy it, paisan...

He's simply the greatest! Al has improved over the years like fine wine and I expect he will continue to share that golden, romantic voice in the years to come! He has never sounded better, or fresher.

I have heard Al Martino in concert on many occasions and this CD really brought home the excitement of these events. Al is in magnificent voice and soars over the orchestra and enthusiastic applause. There is no chorus competing with him as is the case on many of his studio recordings. The medleys are imaginative and the closing numbers are most thrilling. One of the great recordings of "Granada" in my opinion! The recording quality is first rate. You can tell that both singer and audience were having a wonderful time. A little short, but I have a lot more of Al's cds!

I did not know anything about Al Martino until my husband gave me this CD for Christmas. I did not listen to it until a year later. I love every song in this live concert, and I wonder why he was not put on TV like Andy Williams. I think Al has a better voice. Al mentioned the God Father movie which I have never seen. I thought it was a scary Mafia movie. It happenned that they showed both Godfather I and II the last 2 weeks on TV. They were actually interesting and well made. I also bought an earlier CD of Al Martino, and I agree with the other reviews that his voice gets better and better.

This is by far the best sounding live album that I own. The songs on the album are fantastic, and put together very well. Al shows why he has remained so popular through the years. I do wish it was longer though! If you like Al Martino this album is a must!
