4.0 out of 5 stars The Braille Blues Daddy!
I didn't really know Bryan Lee before this album. Amazon just kept his name in front of me till I gave in and bought it. I guess suggestive selling really does work. Born in Wisconsin, Lee lives in New Orleans and has recorded for the past 14 years. for a Montreal label. No one can say he doesn't get around. 2.0 out of 5 stars Bryan Lee, Live and Dangerous
Although I am a big Bryan Lee fan, this is not his best work. The "Friday Night" and "Saturday Night" as still his best live CD's.

Born in Wisconsin, Lee lives in New Orleans and has recorded for the past 14 years. for a Montreal label. No one can say he doesn't get around. Recorded in Montreal, "Live and Dangerous" is a smokin set from a talented blues singer and guitarist who flew under my radar for far too long. By the way, I liked the album well enough to buy two more of his. Just thought you should know. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Grossly under-estimated blues performer, October 16, 2005
This review is from: Live & Dangerous (Audio CD)
I first saw Bryan Lee performing at the 2000 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and was left wondering why I hadn't heard of him before. He's obviously been around for a while and can play the blues in a unique style that's his own. I recommend any CD's of his and this latest one has him playing & singing even better than before.

"Live" music sometimes disappoints. This recording featuring Bryan Lee captures an amazing amount of the joyful intensity of his actual stage presence. Highly recommended.

Great voice, songs, guitar and band--special kudos to Mark Katz on organ. This cd was my intro to Bryan Lee, and it told me everything I needed to know about Bryan Lee's music. He absolutely loves to play and is quite good at it. This remains one of my favorite live cds. Lots of energy, great change of pace, and all of this in front of a very appreciative crowd. Highly recommended indeed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks again Mr Bryan Lee!, July 12, 2011
This review is from: Live & Dangerous (Audio CD)
Last year I travelled to US and visited the wonderful city of New Orleans. I had the chance (and the privilege) to be in the presence of this incredible man, playing three sets of one and a half hour each (yes, 4 1/2 hours on Bryan Lee) at "The Saloon" for the price of a beer bottle and a US$ 10 tip. As a bonus I got his autograph on two CD's, the "Saturday Night" and "Live and Dangerous" (yes, Mr Bryan Lee is blind but is able to sign his name for those who ask him), a photo with the man and a little chat with him and his wife Bethanny. As I already have the "Friday Night" CD, my live trilogy is complete! Let's not forget that this CD introduces Kenny Wayne Shepherd to the world and also have Frank Marino as a special guest. A must buy for blues lovers.

Very enjoyable performance. This is my first contact with Bryan Lee and it was very favorable. Blues is my favorite music style and Bryan compares well. You will enjoy his style and performance as the appreciative audience in this live performance did too. Have put Bryan on my "must-see-live-someday" list.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bryan Lee, December 29, 2007
This review is from: Live & Dangerous (Audio CD)
I first heard Bryan Lee in a New Orleans night club in 1999, purchasing my first album on the spot which Mr Lee kindly autographed.
Within 3 months I had purchased 3 more of his albums online back home in Australia.
'Life and Dangerous' is a welcome addition to my blues collection IMHO a great new live album to sit along side his early Friday & Saturday night live CD's.
