3.0 out of 5 stars In Your Face And Nasty, October 23, 2003
By "coalblacksky@hotmail.com" (Tacoma, WA United States) - See all my reviews
That pretty much sums up this live set from Tejas' metallers Pissing Razors, who rival fellow Texans, Pantera, with their inexorable drive to slam as many riffs into a single song as possible. That they can do this well in an old school metal context is a testament to their talent. New vocalist Andre Acosta does his best Phil Anselmo grunt impersonation on such visceral cuts as "World Of Deceit" and "Fork Tongue," sounding very convincing behind the band's double bass drum grooves and jackhammer riffs. The rest of the band rides the edges of coming apart on "Vengeance Is Mine" and the plain brutal "Justice Denied," but manages to keep it together. The only problem with their downright militaristic approach is that the songs begin to bleed into one another about halfway through the disc. Acosta even has the same spiel at the beginning of almost every song, inciting audience participation. All told though, these guys are far better live than in the studio and this proves it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pissing Razors- what more can i say, April 8, 2003
By A Customer
Anybody who is a fan of tha razors knows that there's nuthin better than to hear these guys live....trust me I know. This is a great compilation that includes all of there heavy tunes from all there albums. the only flaw is that u can tell when they que in the audience; kinda kills that vibe but im not listening to the crowd anyway. Great cd to add to the metal collection. I would also like to point out my service with Amazon. I couldn't get any better service from anywhere. They were fast and convenient and im extremely pleased i recommmend anybody to use amazon.com as there place to buy cds and other items, there prices cant be beat. Thanx alot Amazon and keep up tha great work.

4.0 out of 5 stars In True Razors Fashion, December 27, 2002
By Asah E. (Tenafly, NJ) - See all my reviews
This CD is without a doubt one of the better Live CDs I've heard. Having seen them live myself, I'd say that this record most definitely captures the energy and intensity they have on stage. It sounds so close to the actual studio versions of the songs, its insane. The new singer, Andre Acosta, definitely has that east-coast hardcore vibe to his vocals...which is certainly not a bad thing. When Jason Bragg left, after chatting with him personally, I was upset and skeptical as to how the band would sound without him. This CD took my skepticism and shattered it to a bloody pulp. This is a must have for a Razors fan. Ear shattering vocals, driving guitar rythms, and Eddy Garcias drum work is superior as always with the bass matchin up perfectly with both the guitar and drums. Whoever mixed this CD did a very good job making everything sound clear. Some of the older songs to look out for are...Desparado, Three, Fork Tongue, Burning Bridges, Tortured and Dodging Bullets. Long live the Razors!
