First off, this is an excellent record which I would normally highly recommend. However, the collector's edition is, in my opinion, a much better choice.
As far as the actual music goes, it is by far one of my favorites. The live recordings capture the energy of AC/DC very well. In fact, I generally prefer the live versions to their original recorded versions. For anyone who is even marginally an AC/DC fan, or even just curious, the AC/DC live is a must have.
That said, the collectors edition's regular price is only an additional $4 (at the writing of this review it is discounted to $16.00). That additional $4 provides 9 extra songs which are not included on the one disc version. Therefore, it seems pointless to buy the one disc version.
Like I said, AC/DC is an amazing band, and their live recordings are even better. I just can't recommend this CD when a far better alternative exists.

AC/DC is one of my all time favorite bands. They know how to rock! This C.D. is no exception. They get the crowd pumped and get my blood boiling! This C.D. doesn't have all the essential AC/DC tracks, but for me, this C.D. is still great. The C.D. contains such great songs as Back in Black, Highway To Hell, Money Talks, Hells Bells, TNT, You Shook Me All Night Long, Thunderstruck, Dirty Deed Done Dirt Cheap and The Jack. Every AC/DC fan should own this C.D., no just to complete their collection, but to have it for what it is...LIVE ROCK N ROLL!

I have been a fan of AC/DC for a while now but have never owned any of their albums. I saw this album in a store on sale so I decided to buy it. Man, this album is awesome. It takes their already awesome greatest hits and adds in the special factors that differentiate them from regular studio album tracks i.e. Brian Johnson talking to the audience, hearing the audience sing back, and a generally faster pace of the music.

I don't about you but I like hearing Johnson pump up the audience and in this case, the listeners of this CD. It is a great buy and will bring a sinful smile to anyone's face while getting you energized.

This is one of my first purchases through Amazon for music i personally like. The sound is very good and clear. I'm very satisfied with this option of buying my favourite music.

This is an AWESOME cd. AC/DC really knows how to please their fans and this LIVE cd is no exception. The song collection was great and they were very good choices. Brian Johnson did a great job with the vocals and Angus was just pheonomenal as always on lead guitar. If your an AC/DC fan then you're nuts if you don't already have this cd, and thats the truth. Other rock fans should get this as well. OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Truth be known, I used to hate "AC/DC". But that was before I actually owned any. This live album has converted me. Plus, besides being a very good live album, it also serves as a "greatest hits". 14 remastered classics including "Back In Black", "Thunderstruck", "Hells Bells", and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap". You can't ask for more in a cd, especially as good as it sounds. If you're a casual fan who feels they only need one "AC/DC" disc, this is it.

AC/DC live is pure musical energy its amazing! You have to buy this album if you like ac/dc Every song is amazing its played perfect. Even better then a studio recording!! Angus's guitar is amazing. And if you buy the 2 disc set you will find out angus is one of the top guitar players of all time!! Brians voice is pretty good he shouts out all the Bon Scott songs in his own singing style. Malcom And Cliff play solid rythem and the drummer chris slade is amazing he makes ac/dc sound even better then ac/dc live with phil rudd!! Buy this cd!

Yes 1/4 to see the other 3 read my other reviews, But thats neither here nor there. AC/DC live is a must have for anyone into Rock/Metal or just plain good music in general, I got turned on to this album by a friend of mine in the summer of 96 and it still gets a spin atleast once a week still to this day. This album is a monster the sound quality is perfection which is amazing for a live album, Brian never gets winded the guitars never fudge and you could set your watch to the rythem section. The album starts with one of there most iconic intro ever that just builds and builds till it kicks in and hooks you for the long haul.
All the essentials for anyone getting into AC/DC are here Thunderstruck, Back In Black, Hells Bells, and the legendary Highway To Hell. AC/DC Live is what rock is all about awesome riffs, catchy choruses, and killer solos and no one hammers out a solo like angus, The album never tires never gets dull or boring and flows seamlessly from one song to the next. The best part theres not a ton of babbling like some live albums, So if your wanting to get an AC/DC album and don't know where you should start, Right here AC/DC LIVE grab it, play it, LIVE IT.

I have listened to their songs on the radio for years but didn't have any albumns or CD's. I figured I should have at least one. I do not always like live albums but the crowd noises and the fact that the band seems to be playing for me makes this a good one. For Deep Purple and Led Leppelin I like tracks from certain albums but I never had any AC/DC albums to pick from. I think if you like their music and want to feel a part of the show, you cannot go wrong. There is another version that has more tracks which would probably be a better deal.
