If you by this CD you'll be sad. You'll be sad that you weren't at the State Theater in Kalamazoo, Michigan last October when Domestic Problems recorded these tracks. I heard a snippet of one song off this disc on the radio and it intrigued me enough to buy. Without doubt, it's one of the best music buys I've made over the past two years. The band weaves through an incredible array of sounds, from Celtic rhythms to jazzy beats, from ska to good old-fashioned rock-n-roll, with supreme confidence and the highest energy level this side of the Bare Naked Ladies. It's the energy level on the first track, "I Think It's Funny", that rivets your attention, and from then on you're hooked as the music does a powerful cascade through track after track. By the time you reach "El Matador" and it's cheesy romp through one-hit wonders, you're having so much fun that you're grinning out loud. The poignant "Ernie's Tragic Love Triangle" then sets up a soulful ending for the disc that leaves you wondering how a band this good, and this diverse can stay for much longer out of the popular music mainstream. Buy this disk today and you'll listen to it until you wear it out.

Many of us writing these reviews have had personal contact with this band. That may be primarily because they are the best non-major lable band of the past decade. It is also because they are some of the finest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I was a sound tech with a michigan sound company, and when I had the opportunities to work with DP, I knew that it was going to be a wonderful night. The music, their fans, and their attitudes are most excellent....HI ...!!

DP the REAL way -- live!,

Perhaps I am a bit partial to this CD because I was in the audience at the concert during which it was recorded, but the fact remains that DP is an AMAZING live act. Billy and Job's dancing, Andy's antics, and an amazing energy make Domestic Problems a nearly surreal experience in concert.I was happy to see that this CD included the song "El Matador", a song about a matador and a bull falling in love. The best part of the song is that it is always interjected with other popular songs, and you never know what to expect. I have heard them sing everything from Twisted Sister to Ricky Martin during this song. DP proves that they can rock with the best of 'em, cranking out can't-help-but-dance tunes like "Summer in the Sandbox" and "Ernie's Tragic Love Triangle", followed by more mellow tunes like "Untitled". Perhaps the best part of the concert, DP is joined by the Mission Orange Orchestra for "Untitled", creating a sound that raises the hair on your neck and makes your spine tingle. No matter your musical taste, DP has enough variety to please most everyone -- a worthwhile buy for aanyone!

This is music, my friends. TRL, the radio, and all your other pop jockey's just have no idea. Usually compared to BNL, Rusted Root, and DMB, these guys take it to the next level. This is what music is all about. I highly reccomend this to everyone. Take full advantage of this brilliant style of music before the rest of the world catches on. Make this personal. This is music that you can feel - it doesn't get any better.

I am a transplant to Maryland from Kalamazoo, MI and I have to say that this CD makes it easy to remember "the Zoo" The CD takes you through their barrage of styles and talents. The best CD I bought in 2000. If you have the chance to see them live, do it. Their shows are electric and so is this CD.

Domestic Problems is got to be one of the best bands to emerge in the last decade. They are best live, and this live album will always be in my cd player. They have terrific stage presence and you can hear this in the CD. The music is fun, upbeat, witty, and definitely worth the money. If you like Dave Matthews, Rusted Root, Bare Naked Ladies, etc, you will love DP!

....Ok boys and girls here it is...the best C.D you will buy this year. Guaranteed. Domestic Problems (DP) is a true up and coming band that is taking the midwest by storm. This is what the Dave Matthews band would sound like...if he could. The first time you listen you'll swear that some of the songs are familar- or you may ask yourself when the "Bare Naked Ladies" started writing new music. I really don't want to classify DP with other bands, because their sound is truly unique. An absolute great buy!

I have been a fan of "DP" for many years now and I have always been hoping they would make it big and it looks like they are now on their way. This CD is actually their third, and also by far their best. I attended the concert in Kalamazoo where the album was recorded, and it sounds almost as good as being right there. It is a great live album and features many new songs along with their staples. The energy that they put into their performances really comes through on this CD and it definitely shows what great live performers they are. DP has been compared to bands like Dave Matthews and Bare Naked Ladies--they are just as talented as these bands, but I think you will find they have a unique, fun sound that forces you to smile. There are great suprises on this album like the appearance by the Mission Orange Orchestra which really make it a whole and rounded recording. These guys are destined for fame, so if you haven't heard of them yet...WATCH OUT!!!
