4.0 out of 5 stars Not Bad, February 21, 2007

This review is from: Live at Electric Ballroom (Audio CD)
Out of the few cds out there featuring Solo Sid Concerts, this one is the best for the sound quality and set lists. It's a punk show that's fun to listen to. It's ironic that Glen Matlock plays bass leaving Sid to be the singer/frontman. The cd also has an interview with Glen and other player at this show at the end of the cd. If you want to grab one SID cd, get this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Another great document in Sid Vicious history., August 17, 2000
This review is from: Live at Electric Ballroom (Audio CD)
Hi there. I have this show and it's really interesting, as are all Sid shows. We have Sid on vocals, Steve New on guitar, Rat Scabies on drums, and I thought it was quite ironic to find Glen Matlock (the ex-Sex Pistols bassist who was boosted in favor of Sid) on bass! Imagine that! Funny how things turn out! Anyway, The band, known as The Vicious White Kids rip through favorites such as "C'Mon Everybody", "Chatterbox", "Belsen Was A Gas" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog", many of which are simply covers of other artists' songs. This is most likely because the show was recorded around the time Sid was always doped up and didn't care about writing and playing; Not that this makes the show a bad one! The sound quality is not great, but the show is definately a keeper! Sid symbolizes that 'little-boy-who-wants-to-grow-up-and-be-a-rock-star' inside of us all. John Simon Ritchie, a.k.a. Sid Vicious [1957-1979] R.I.P.
