Editorial Reviews

All About Eve recorded this sell out concert which included all their hits such as 'Martha's Harbour'. 'Wild Hearted Woman' and ' In The Clouds'. The band's profile is high as they continue to tour both as a group and as solo artists. Julianne Regan is also behind such projects as Gene Loves Jezebel, Mice and Jules Et Jim with her distinctive and unique voice gaining her a large following in her own right. As a band with the brilliant musicianship of Marty Wilson-Piper (The Church) and Andy Cousins (The Mission), All About Eve already have a huge and loyal fanbase. This recording is 72 minutes long which is great value for money AND THERE IS A LIMITED EDITION BONUS CD (only available while stocks last). The CD has deluxe artwork to Julianne's design with all the lyrics. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good in studio -- even better live, February 14, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Live & Electric at Union Chapel (Audio CD)
I am not usually very impressed with live albums, but I can't seem to get enough Julianne Regan -- and was not disappointed when I bought this.
As good (but not as intimate) as Fairy Vol. I, I mourn the fact that AAE doesn't have a strong enough following in the States to justify a tour -- I may never see them live. This album is professional, yet different enough from the studio versions of these songs.
"December" is more haunting than the original, "Lady Moonlight" brings tears to my eyes the first time I listened to it. The others are fantastic.
As far as live albums go -- this is one of the best I've heard.
Now, all AAE has to do is admit that they are still viable and release a new studio album...
(And re-release the poorly reviewed "Ultraviolet" for those of us who missed it the first time)
