Good in studio -- even better live,

I am not usually very impressed with live albums, but I can't seem to get enough Julianne Regan -- and was not disappointed when I bought this.As good (but not as intimate) as Fairy Vol. I, I mourn the fact that AAE doesn't have a strong enough following in the States to justify a tour -- I may never see them live. This album is professional, yet different enough from the studio versions of these songs. "December" is more haunting than the original, "Lady Moonlight" brings tears to my eyes the first time I listened to it. The others are fantastic. As far as live albums go -- this is one of the best I've heard. Now, all AAE has to do is admit that they are still viable and release a new studio album... (And re-release the poorly reviewed "Ultraviolet" for those of us who missed it the first time) |
