Comtemporary Gospel Princess,

This review is from: The Live Experience (Audio CD)
This CD/DVD has just breathed new life into an already great of a first effort project. It showcases Mrs. Tamela Mann's vocal prowess, ability to minister, and ability to take us into straight worship. Very nice blend between comtemporary and some traditional gospel. You know we still love them hymns. Tamela and her team present a product that is spirit filled with great lyrical content and geat musicianship. The live aspect is a huge asset to this project. The instruments just enhance and don't try to compete with the vocal ability of Mann and the great efforts she makes to worship and minister. Wow everybody else is gonna have to step it up a bit I must say. I am throughly pleased with this project. Be blessed and pass it on.

The album her first should have been,

Okay first things first, I have Tamela Manns First album. I still listen to it. I've loved her voice(powerful soprano at that) since she was one of Kirk Franklins singers. The setting for The Live Experience was the calvary chruch in Irving, Texas. With this album, she takes 9 of the 10 songs off of her first album with 1 new song and records them live. And having Myron Butler(a former 1NC member) and Levi sing back ground was not a bad idea for the album either.
The two songs "Speak Lord" and "Hallelujah" should have been live from the beginning with their churchy vibes. For the former, I enjoyed the transitioning to the smokie norful song(I need you now). Another track I thought was better live was the praise medely with it's organ drenched baptist sound. I only have one complaint about this album though. I like the song "In your corner". I know this album was live, but I still wish they would have stuck w/ a sound similar to the studio version(i.e. I was they had stayed w/ the simple guitar arrangments for this album as well). Both versions are good, however I liked the guitar better than the keyboards. All in all, If you are a Tamela Mann fan, you should give this album a try. I hope to hear new material from Tamela in the future.

I heard one song off of this cd and knew I had to order it. I received it and was completely blown away at how awesome Tamela is. I have loved her since the first time I saw her Tyler Perry's plays because I knew she could sing. All I can say is nothing compares to hearing her live-it shows she can SANG!!! I am blessed EVERY morning on my way to work, on my way home, and as I just listen to the tracks in my mind. She has the power and annointing of our Lord all over her and I am so grateful for her allowing the Lord to use her to bless me. If you are even thinking about getting this, please think no more. Pick it up and you will NOT want to put it down! That is my honest opinion and it is my pleasure to to listen to this cd every day...it makes my soul alright!!!! Thank you Tamela for being so awesome!!!
