5.0 out of 5 stars In concert
I was on the USS NIMITZ during Operation Iraqi Freedom when Dishwalla came onboard to promote this album. I was never a fan of their music, like most of the ship all I knew was that they had sung that "Tell me all your thoughts on God" song. But seeing as we were at sea with nothing else to entertain us for 9 months, I went to the concert. I, and most of the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Much better live than in the studio... but still pretty boring...
I had the urge to hear Counting Blue Cars the other day... but then I didn't know what I should listen to next. I figured that Dishwalla might be one of those bands that I would actually really like if I ever decided to listen to anything other than the single, so I sat down with everything from the Counting Blues Cars / Other Side of the World EP / Single through to...

I, and most of the crew was blown away. I rushed out and bought most of their albums at the next port. I loved this CD because it reminds me of that concert. This band really is one of those bands that sound better live. Buy this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars See that Dishwalla are just as good live as in studio, January 26, 2004

Dishwalla is one of my favorite bands, rapidly becoming my most listened to artist. Opaline was the most incredible album I have heard in years, and one that I rarely go a day without listening to in its entirety. So when I was looking for more Dishwalla cds on HMV.com I seen this album. I ordered it right away and was pleasantly suprised when it showed up at my house 2 days later. I do not expect much from live albums, but it was a Dishwalla cd and since I owned all the previous cds (which I have purchased since Opaline moved me so much)I had to have this one. This live CD showed just what a great band Dishwalla is, because they sounded just as good live and they do in the studio. JR's vocals are incredible and the man's voice should be enjoyed by millons of more people than it already is. Its a shame they are not more well known. Buy this CD if you are a Dishwalla fan, you will not be dissapointed.

This is an incredible CD. I have liked Dishwalla for years, and seen them in concert three times now, but this CD sets a new high for them. In particular, the jam that closes out track 10 could be listed to time after time. If I had one complaint about the CD, it is that the people whooping and yelling appreciation between songs distracts from the beautiful music, but that is a minor issue. And I can hardly blame them, considering the performance.

I have hundreds of CDs in my collection, by numerous artists, but if I had to take just 10 of them with me to a desert island, this would be one of the 10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest HITS LIVE album, September 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Live From the Flow State (Audio CD)
A must have for a Dishwalla fan....and a great introduction to non-fans....the piano only version of Angels or Devils alone is already worth the price of the cd...Once in a while sounded a little heavier to me compared to the album version....but the great vocals and drum rolls really take off!...Exceptionally great....even my wife was amazed and was an instant "big" fan...Every little thing was nicely rendered..starts slow, lovely and then pow!..the guitar work on the songs gave another dimension on their talents... I highly recommend this to fans and non-fans....there is something here for everyone...

5.0 out of 5 stars I own it and I love it!!!!, December 21, 2004

Of all the Dishwalla CDs, soundtracks and EPs, this is by far their greatest release to date. Maybe they should have called this CD 'Their Greatest Hits'!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most meaningful bands of our time, October 27, 2003

It's amazing to me that Dishwalla isn't more popular and known around the music world. Their music speaks for itself, evoking real emotions in everyone who listens to JR's beautiful voice.

The only thing better than listening to a Dishwalla studio CD is seeing them live in concert. They treat every performance as if it were the most important of their careers. This CD captures a lot of that feeling and shows the world that this band really knows how to rock.

If you've never heard Dishwalla before, skip the music samples and pick this CD up immediately. You'll enjoy the disc if you like music that sounds awesome and also has significant meanings.

I had never heard Dishwalla before. Then, on the internet radio I head Every Little Thing live... Awsome!!! Outta time, outta this world!
I ordered the CD instantly. I was scared instantly! What about the other songs? Were they any good??
I wished I could say I was relieved, but I wasn't... I was completely blown away!!!
Dishwalla were the hell were you all this years?!?!?!
Wish I met you before!
Now excuse me, I have to go and listen to it again, cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dishwalla like you never heard them before., August 21, 2003
This review is from: Live From the Flow State (Audio CD)
After listening absentmindedly to internet radio on my computer, I stumbled on the Live from the Flow State version of Every Little Thing.
The fact that I didn't know Dishwalla until then only intensified the experience since I was listenting to something totally new for me.
The performance was absolutely incredible, the voice disarming.
I was completely taken aback by the fact that I had never heard about this group and immediately went and bought the CD.
If you like live CDs this is one is worth it, and the best thing is, it doesn't matter if you know or like Dishwalla at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dishwalla prove themselves as a great live band, January 10, 2006
By
This review is from: Live From the Flow State (Audio CD)
I had heard parts of some Dishwalla albums, and a bootleg live recording that was awesome and I really loved them.

I bought this CD and the music inspired me so much, that I went and bought all 4 of the CDs showcased on it.

They are a great band; and yes some of the live 'stuff' is not as good as the original recordings, but, live (in my opinion) is often better.

I recommend this CD for your collection. If you think some of the mixing could be done better, then I'd whole-heartedly suggest that you go and buy all the Dishwalla studio discs!

You won't be disappointed.

5 Stars.

I've been a huge fan of Dishwalla since their first single "Counting Blue Cars", and finally had the opportunity to see them live a couple of years ago. They put on an incredible live show. This album is amazing - so much energy and passion in every part of their music. If you weren't a fan of Dishwalla before, this album is sure to change your opinion of them. Can't wait for their live DVD!!
