Words don't describe how great their cd is. If you love their Songs about Jane or have loved any of their music, you MUST GET THIS.

I became a fan after hearing Harder to breathe and haven't had then out of my cd player since. SAJ is one of the only cd's that I've purchased in the past few years that I can actually listen to all the way through and never get tired of any of the songs. I received an email from their site in August stating if I pre-ordered I'd get an autographed cover...I ordered that very day to get it for my Birthday (Sept 20, the day it came out...it literally came out ON MY BIRTHDAY and I got it a day early! Great present for me! LOL)

This is pretty much the live version of Songs about Jane, just as good with a couple of songs I'd never heard of before but are just as great!

The DVD is pretty good, but some of the things I didn't like were the angles they were taking of the group, (backs of them, long shots of just their hand playing the guitar/keyboard, unclear shots) But their performance is outstanding, the quality is crystal clear and this will be definately going into rotation on my cd player along with their others.

My 8 year old son is behind me right now as I'm watching the dvd. They really are one of the best bands out right now, great for all ages. Plus its nice to see an actual band playing instruments for a change instead of the lip synching pop junk they overplay on the radio, videos and award shows. I don't think he's seen many actually perform live with instruments like this before.

I really do recommend it to everyone! (so does my son! :)

The CD installs software on your computer with out your permission. Google "Sony Root Kit". Forget about playing this CD thru itunes or transfering music to your ipod. The DVD is great. But don't put the CD into your computer unless you want Sony's Root Kit to open your PC to hackers. Copy protection! Whatever! They want to stick it to you. So stick it to them. Don't buy this CD.

This spoilt it for me. I work away allot and couln't wait to download this on my ipod, which does actually copy, but the playback is messed up.
I bought this album and every other album I have on my Ipod and I should have the choice as to where I want to listen to it.
Secondly I hate the fact that it automtically installs software on my PC.
Don't buy it if you want to listen to it on you IPod.

This is one awesome band, incredible musicians, the down and dirty lyrics remind me of some of the great R&B stuff back in the day. And Adam Levine's voice, you ain't gonna get him confused with anyone else.

The CD has been in my car's player since I took it out of the package. Like someone else said, I can play it over and over and not get tired of the music.

I hope these guys are around a long time

I bought two live CD/DVD sets in the last week. The first was Green Day's "Bullet in a Bible", which was absolutely amazing. But then I bought Maroon 5's "Friday the 13th"... and was absolutely amazed. I've always thought that they were an incredible band, but this just blew me away. When I was first introduced to Maroon 5 almost three years ago, I thought, "Ah, a band with the piano as a primary instrument - now that's cool!", being that I am a pianist myself. But their sound has grown and matured so much since then that their original two hits, "Harder to Breathe" and "This Love" now sound like completely different songs from the original raw, acoustic breakthroughs that they originally were.
I can't recommend this album enough. However, I must state this warning - this album has the same Sony copy-protection software on it that has given so many Switchfoot fans problems with "Nothing Is Sound." So, be careful with that.
But otherwise - rockin' album!

This Dvd and CD is so awesome! I was at this concert in Santa Barbara - IN THE FRONT ROW! I never cared for Maroon 5 until I saw them live, they blew me away.

Their cover of Aint no Sunshine is amazing.

Concert opens to great vibes of "Shiver" and the energy never stopped! Adam Levine and the band are amazing live and are seriously underrated!

BUY THE CD and DVD!!

I don't know what are you talking about with that software that the CD has....I own this album and I've placed the CD in my CD-Rom drive and it has never installed anything! Don't believe it. I could swear to anything that it won't do anything wrong in your PC...
OK. The DVD is really, really good...The concert is so great and exciting, but the beginning of the show goes too fast and it makes it not exciting. Maybe they should have begun the concert with Harder To Breathe...Well, even though they only perform 14 songs, it lasts 1hr 15min, even more than other concerts in which more songs are performed. Plus, the CD is very good as well. For example, you're travelling in your car and you want to listen to the concert (and you don't have a portable DVD player), the CD is there! sometimes you don't wanna see the show, you just want to listen to it, so the CD is very helpful too.
If you're a Maroon 5 fan, you must have this, if you don't, you're wasting half of your life ;)

It amazes me that Maroon 5's songs never get old. I went to their concert in Sacramento and poppin this cd in is like being there all over again. Their songs just never get old! Whether you are a die-hard fan (which if you aren't yet, shame on you!) or just like listening to thier music on the radio, this cd/dvd IS A MUST!!!! Even though it has many of the same songs on it as their Songs About Jane Cd, it is just as good. They are absolutley amazing and I will see them every time they come anywhere near where I live. Seeing and/or hearing them live makes you appreciate them even more than just listening to SAJ!

I Am watching dvd Version of this Right Now, and Maroon 5 Are a Killer LIVE Band as well, as excellent Recording artist!! You will get 2 Discs with this package, 1 for Dvd Concert, and cd for Concert Songs. They Are both Awesome, is the only way to describe both!! And Just so you dont think im some teen age follower, im 32. They Appeal to anyone Regardless of Age in my Opinion! Of course most of these are the same songs from songs about jane album, but there all totally live, and the fact that you also get the Dvd is a no brainer! So if your fans and Dont have time to get to a concert, or just want the live version , Dont wait it is definetly worth the price!! Peace all.

The dvd is good. I love their music and they perform with plenty of energy and emotion. It's good to see them stretch out musically on some of their songs. My complaint is with the CD. The music is poorly mixed. It seems to be a straight transfer of the dvd soundtrack, which any one with xillisoft or similar software could have done for themselves, although possibly not, given what previous reviewers have alerted us to about the copy protection software. Anyway, my point is that the cd hasn't been remixed for dedicated audio listening. As a result the crowd noise is way too loud all the way through every song. It is like listening to the cd in a room full of crickets and mosquitos, on a windy night next to a freeway by the ocean. The poor quality of the mix extends to the balancing of the instrument levels. In some songs the lead guitar sits out clear and strong and in others it is swamped by the rest of the band, robbing songs of their climactic moments.
A disappointing effort from a greaty band.
