5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe I'm the first to review this? June 3, 2012
Format:Audio CD
I found this by accident and goodness... its like a holy grail of amazing guitar from what is obviously now a sadly forgotten giant of the instrument! Sure its only a bit over a half hour but a lifetime of playing and emotion are demonstrated in that riveting time! The picture is broadcast quality and the performance is sublime. If you love guitar you will love this and I'm treasuring this find!!

5.0 out of 5 stars what a fantastic show!!!... March 5, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I saw the show the first time around and was simply astounded! When I bought it, I did not know the DVD show was also
included. FANTASTIC! is all I can say. This seems like it is Roy at his best, but to him, it was probably just another night. He may have been the greatest unknown guitarest in the world, but he was also the most under-rated. Has people- even guitarists- astounded to this very day. This is, of course, from AUSTIN CITY LIMITS. It's about time it was re-released. If they COULD release more like this, it would be most appreciated.

The music is great, but the disk is too short. So was Roy's life. I miss you Roy. one, two more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Documentary, Too Short April 26, 2014
By 1badb0y
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
As an avid Roy Buchanan fan I was eager to listen to and view the this CD/DVD recorded in 1976 at Austin City Limits. The liner notes and description list this as Roy at the peak of his skills. I would agree. The Telecaster master showcases all the great bends and staccato riffs that comprise his trademark blues sound. It is also great to see him looking fit and composed, much like he was when I saw him here in Denver a couple years later. However at 6 songs and 30 minutes run time, I was a little disappointed in the amount of material present on this paring. I mostly bought it to listen to as opposed to view. If you're like me I'd suggest buying jsut the CD at a lower price.

4.0 out of 5 stars short April 4, 2013
By R. Hale
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
The only reason I would give this album 4 stars as apposed to 5 is the length. That being said Roy Buchanan is possibly the best guitarist I have ever heard and I never get sick of him especially his live albums and this one is no exception it is brilliant but short the only negative thing I can say is that it is short but amazing all the same
