rock at it's best... good old fashioned live.,

This review is from: Live in Galaxy (Audio CD)
with both john corabi and bruce kulick having put their talents together (since their departures from motley crue and kiss) they have established themselves as a force in the hard rock community as "union." along with a pounding back beat and great guitars, "live in the galaxy" shows that these two talents were sorely misused in their previous outfits. get this cd...let your friends hear it...let their friends hear it. it's almost like being at the concert itself. truly a great slab of good old fashioned finger lickin' good rock n' roll.

"REJECTS" MAKE MONSTER ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Live in Galaxy (Audio CD)
The Union could be considered the reject band. The main members Bruce Kulick and John Corabi were subjects to reunions (Motley Crue and Kiss reunited with original members). But the new Union album, Live In The Galaxy, shows "rejects" can make great music. Song's like; Love(I don't need),Old Man Wise, and Tangerine are amazing live. These songs fit with preunion work like Kiss tunes Jungle, and I Walk Alone featuring Kulick's only lead vocal as a kiss member in his 12 year history, Motley Crue tune Power To the Music, and Scream tune Man in the moon, make this album a wood-be smash hit if it had more advertising behind it. Overall I love this album and I will look forward to hearing the next Union album and all the other after it.

First there are no rules about when a band should release a Live disc and who cares if it's Union's 2nd release. (Look at Tesla's Five Man Accoustical Jam, critics hated it, their fans loved it and look what happened since. Every major Artist/Band releases a accoustic disc.) I loved this release, I like how both John and Bruce included songs from their past. John once again proves just how good he is on vocals and really kicks *ss on this one. I liked the song selection on this and really can't complain or whine. But I would only change two things on this release: 1.) Got the fans more into it and 2.) Put "Who Do You Think You Are in place of Surrender. I like what they did with the song, but that's one of Cheap Trick's signature songs and a untouchable as far as I concerned. Well worth it and one of my favorite live discs.

Worth it for the covers and acoustic cuts...,

Union is a great band that doesn't play 'what's in' at the moment. I dig that. Bruce sounded really great singing 'I Walk Alone.' I was impressed. Overall, this is a band to watch.I was unhappy with the fake crowd noise in between songs. I think it is unnecessary. They are a young band- capture the moment. I love those live cds from small sweaty clubs. You know, where you can hear the audience talking sometimes? That's cooler, and more honest. I did like how they bucked tradition by putting out a live cd after only one studio cd. I do prefer them in the studio though, and I await the next studio cd. The acoustic cuts at the end were excellent.

Awesome CD, the acoustic version of you've got to hide your love away from the beatles is amazing with John Corabi's singing it.

Look if you did not see Union on the road this is your shot. The CD has 13 slaming tracks from Old Man Wise to You've got to hide your love away.I love the way Union has ther own sound and a slaming sound at that.Brent Fitz is a master on the Kit. Bruce Kulick licks are over the top and great vocals. John Corabi has found his true home with solid guitar work and great lead vocals. Jamie Hunting bass work is somthing that works with Fits keeping the timeing.KISS songs get a new twist in Jungle & I Walk Alone,Union makes them come to life live.Crue tune Power To The Music get new trist also something the great players in Union pull off well! I have to say the twist to the CD is the cover of Surrender from the famed Cheap Trick, It is slaming and one of my top Picks of the CD. The best thing about Union is thay have great style and tone, Sound is not over looked on this Live CD. This was also a bold move to do a live CD on yet there only 2 ed CD but I have to say it was a wise move for Union, The Music rocks and is somthing I just can not get out of my CD player. I know the 3 ed CD is on the way and I will be in line for this great band 3ed CD. Look for Union in your town but get this CD. by Enzo

I'll admit, it takes guts to release a live album after only one studio release, but UNION pulls it off marvelously on Live In The Galaxy. The album blends favorites like "Love (I Don't Need It Anymore)," "Tangerine," "Around Again," and "Old Man Wise" from their self-titled debut with tracks from guitarist Bruce Kulick's KISS past (a smoldering version of the radio hit "Jungle" gives an awesome testament to Kulick's guitar skills, while "I Walk Alone" shows off his vocal talents) and lead vocalist John Corabi's Motley Crue ("Power To The Music") and Scream ("Man In The Moon") days. There's even a fun cover of Cheap Trick's "Surrender" thrown in for good measure, along with two bonus acoustic tracks recorded live in the studio. The band's tight live sound is remarkable, thanks to a killer rhythm section comprised of drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Jamie Hunting. I dare say this is a better introduction to UNION than their first album, although both prove that, as far as straight-ahead rock and roll goes, you won't find a better band in any garage, club, or arena on this planet.

The last reviewer obviously isn't a Union fan, maybe some Kiss fan who needed something else. Wny not a live album when they have switched record labels and put the finishing touches on a new album?!?!?! Bruce Kulick is a metal guitarist and shows just how good he can be out from the KISS shadow....He was held back there and now, given the opportunity, shows that he is one of the elite guitarist in rock today.....Corabi and the band move thru their set list with ease, while nothing out of the ordinary except a longer version of Jungle and I Walk Alone, still kicks major butt. I continue to listen to this CD constantly and I have had it over a month now, and I really am glad to see two guys (Corabi and Kulick) break out with this band and have two great rhythm guys (Fitz, Hunting) to do it with.....It's worth the buy.....

why after one cd?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Live in Galaxy (Audio CD)
Give me a break. The band is terrible and it doesn't matter who's playing on it.John is a great singer but not here, not with those songs.Bruce can't play rock or metal he's a session guy and always will be.The two other guys well if you saw the band live it's far to be a driving machine the drummer is very very green and not very good and the bass player is washed-up.If you want a live album buy something else.Plus it's the same songs as the first and only cd so why ? Money ? Probably learned it from Kiss !
