Atomic Rooster - 'Live In Germany 1983' (Retrowrek), May 28, 2004
This review is from: Live in Germany 1983 (Audio CD)
I was going to give this CD a three star rating, but I changed it to four stars because the trio simply appears to be trying SO hard to putting on a good live performance here. 'Live In Germany, 1983' was recorded in Bochum, Germany in February 1983. Guitarist / vocalist Bernie Torme is stepping in for John DuCann and doing a very nice job of such, while joining ranks with keyboardist Vincent Crane and drummer Paul Hammond.T his must've been one of Rooster's final gigs. A total of nine tracks include three Rooster classics, "Tomorrow Night", "Gershatzer" and "Devil's Answer". Some of their newer material that shows some promise are "Watch Out", "Carnival" and "Took Control". The sound mix on this release is simply SO good, it's hard NOT to appreciate.
