I remember convincing my dad to buy album this in late 1969 when he got our first 8-track stereo. The major down-side to 8-tracks was that they usually changed tracks right in the middle of the song! Boy was that annoying!
Last night something got me thinking about Rod McKuen's "If You Go Away" and I remembered it was on this Glen Campbell album. When I checked Amazon, and saw that it is now in CD, I ordered it right away.
Aside from that song (which alone is worth the price) I also remember just how fun the opening medley of "More" and "Somewhere" happens to be. To end the album with the one of the most beautiful renditions of "The Lord's Prayer" was probably unheard of, but certainly a great decision.
Buy this album - you will llove it.

Live, from the Garden State Art Center in New Jersey, 1968...the near perfect and absolutely enjoyable performance by one of the greatest country-rock crossovers of ALL time! If you are a Glen Campbell fan, to miss this performance is to miss out on one of the best live recordings of all time. If you are not a Glen Campbell fan, this recording can help you appreciate something that was magical back in the time when live recordings weren't valued as much as they are today.

It may have helped that I was introduced to this recording back when Capitol released it as a 2 record set in 1969...but I can still listen to this and really appreciate the talent and engineering expertise that helped to bring this recording to the fans of Glen Campbell. I wasn't a die hard fan of him until after I heard this recording. Hopefully hearing this will help you to become a follower of this truly extraordinary talent!!

If Glen Campbell's legacy has lead him to Branson, Missouri as an every night show...you need to listen to this recording before you go to Branson. You'll then enjoy and much more appreciate what this TRUE artist has contributed to America's culture and place in our musical history!! Unforgettable!!!!

I was so excited when I saw that this great double live album had been remastered and was available on CD. Any Glen Campbell fan will love this album! The track listing is great although I would have loved it if would have included "Wichita Lineman" and the title song from his movie "True Grit" which was a Oscar nominated song and came out the same year as this concert. Glen's band along with the 1969 Garden Arts Center Orchestra is in top form as is Glen's voice. Very happy I made this purchase. You will be too!

Glen is one of my all time favorite performers. I have followed him since he was the summer fill in for the Smothers Brothers and The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour is my favorite all time varity show.
This album came out a few months after I show Glen in concert the first time (have seen him many times since) and was basically the same show as I remember.
While he has done several live albums since this one, I consider this one his best.
Played it again today and was reminded just how great it is. The song selection is varied and includes some that you would not really associate with Glen (The Lord's Prayer
is a standout in this group)
Glen's personality really shines though in his songs and audience interaction on this album.
This album is highly recommended to Glen's fans and especially to those who may not be.
It is a classic live performance by Glen in his prime.
OUTSTANDING!

I have very fond memories of listening to this truly superb album on vinyl.I virtually played it constantly during
the early 1970,s and foolishly traded all my vinyl for CD in the late 1980,s. I was over the moon when I saw that it was finally available on CD.This has to be one of Glen,s finest ever performances and the orchestral arrangements by
Al de Lory are magical. A true vocal artist from my "halcyon days".

I've been looking for this album on CD for many years. I received the original album in 1970 and played it so much I almost wore it out. The quality of this CD is great and I'm delighted to be able to enjoy it again after so many years.

Excellent live cd! The highlight being Glen Campbell's guitar version of Yakty Sax, it is just incredibly. I would say this is one of the better live concerts every recorded, of course I would not put it in the same league as Peter Frampton Comes Alive or Neil Diamond's Hot August Night, but it is a must have cd for anyones collection.

I bought the 2 record album when it first came out, and literally wore it out. What a wonderful surprise to see it now on CD and in my home. He's an amazing artist that will be listened to for many years to come.

Glen Campbell has produced a rather large number of albums in his long career, so it would take a pretty bold claim to say this is one of, if not THE best album he has. But that's exactly where I would rank this album: at the top. Campbell was at the top of his game at this concert, and the energy and quality of his voice come through on this recording. No, it doesn't have some of his biggest hits, like Wichita Lineman, Galveston, or Southern Nights, but the sheer power and range of his voice more than makes up for it. And that's not to say the playlist is lacking; far from it, it features favorites such as By The Time I Get To Phoenix, Gentle On My Mind, and Where's The Playground Susie. On top of that, it also has Didn't We and If You Go Away, which he performs magnificently.

I could sit here and type another three or four paragraphs telling you just how great this album is. But what you really want to know is whether or not to buy it. I'll put it simply: if you're a Glen Campbell fan, you want this album. If you're curious or just getting into GC and want a good album to start with, you want this album.
