Do Not Buy THis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, July 8, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
This is the new band!!! The back of the dvd says it is the band before the plane crash... It is not!!!!! Amazon should pull this dvd and not be allowed to sell it!!! The picture quality is HORRIBLE!!!! The first song they play is called We Ain't Much Different.... When the title flashes on the screen it is spelled We Ain't Much Differend!!! They even spelled words wrong on here!!!! Again DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!! Even Amazon says it is the old band with Ronnie Van Zant...But it isn't!!! This dvd sucks!!!!!!!!!

What Is This ????, July 1, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
There's not a word of this anywhere on the band's OFFICIAL web site. The description here, and at other sites says it's a 1976 show with RONNIE, so why would there be a shot of Johnny & Rickey ? And this " Heartland " theme is appearing in other band's titles as well...hmmm...something fishy going on here. Is this the REAL Lynyrd Skynyrd or the tribute band we've had since 1987 ???

lynyrd skynyrd - live in the heartland, August 1, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
The description on the web site and the back states that it is a show with the original band in the 70's, but the show on the dvd is a show from the 2000's. Also the picture on the cover is a picture of the newer band. also to top it off the quality of the 2000's show is horrible, unwatchable. I returned this dvd for a full refund. Buyer beware on this item. I don't blame Amazon at all , I blame the company that put this dvd out

not worth it, October 30, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
personally, i was highly disappointed with this dvd. has anyone seen lyve from pittsburgh? well, this is takes from that dvd except they are of poorer quality and appear to be second time clones of the original. And, it is Johnny Van Zant, not Ronnie doing the vocals! whomever put this thing together should really hang their heads in shame as it does not do justice to a band as great as Lynyrd Skynyrd. Growing up and cutting my teeth on Skynyrd's legacy, i'm outraged by this dvd. Looks like another one from the bad man.

Keep shopping......, July 14, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
Don't bother buying this, get the "lyve from Steeltown" instead, same show, no 1976 footage. Ripoff garbage. If it is early footage you want, get the "gimmee back my bullets" CD with the DVD of the Old grey whistle test from 75', awesome set. Ed King is absent from it,he had already left the band.

More Live Lynyrd Skynyrd Footage, October 17, 2008
This review is from: Live from the Heartland (DVD)
Please take all of the negative reviews of this DVD so far like the humor on the TV show WHAT NOT TO WEAR. Although I'm not sure which version of Lynyrd Skynyrd this is, it shows that regardless of whoever was in the band at any time, they were capable of putting on an excellent show. The music and the performance are all top-notch, as is the sound quality. Get this DVD any way you can.
