4.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR SLAYER FANS
This video showcases Slayer's live performance in all its brutality. Recorded on the DIVINE INTERVENTION tour it features amazing renditions of classics such as AT DAWN THEY SLEEP, RAINING BLOOD and HELL AWAITS as well as a cover of Venom's WITCHING HOUR. The documentary footage is interesting, the video opens with some lunatic fan getting SLAYER carved into his arm, and...

2.0 out of 5 stars The Boys Are Getting Old . . .
Well, Slayers' newest live concert footage lacks energy compared to their shows in their sprightly youth, that's for sure. Kerry King looks like an idiot sporting his new Anton LaVey 'do, and a lot of the aggression that Slayer was so famed for is gone. A disappointment for hardcore metal-heads will be the appearance of ex-Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach hanging with the...

4.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR SLAYER FANS, May 19, 2002

This video showcases Slayer's live performance in all its brutality. Recorded on the DIVINE INTERVENTION tour it features amazing renditions of classics such as AT DAWN THEY SLEEP, RAINING BLOOD and HELL AWAITS as well as a cover of Venom's WITCHING HOUR. The documentary footage is interesting, the video opens with some lunatic fan getting SLAYER carved into his arm, and another moron staggering out of a record store signing looking like he's soiled himself, saying "Tom called me a fag! I'm going to go home and light a candle! SLAAAAYYYYYERRRR!". What a loser. There is also some amusing footage of the band on and off the road which shows that despite their music they are actually happy, good humored guys. No signs of satanic rituals, drug abuse or animal sacrifices- Tipper Gore, you need to get a life.

5.0 out of 5 stars SLAYER IS THE EXACTNESS OF VITALITY, November 8, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Live Intrusion [VHS] (VHS Tape)
When a video opens up with a guy carving the word "slayer" into his hand with a scalpel, you know its gonna be one worth watching. This has some of slayer's best songs in concert, and a lot of nice clips of them drunk. Its really something, believe me...Jeff sleeping w/his mouth wide open, a crown on his head saying "beauty sleep". tom mooning the camera. hit the cola can (paul's drunken game) kerry..."this is for you my friend, a finger up your splinter" and the crazy slayer fans (arent we all?) (...)
So...this is one of the best concert videos, good quality, you hear the band, not the crowd, and you actally see the band.
this video rules, but then again, so does everything slayer.

this video is a true story about what slayer is all about, you get to see slayer play there best songs to perfection and best of all you get to see what its realy like in the pit with a bunch of crazy people in phoenix arizona, befor going to a slayer show i recomend watching this video first as a safty measure because slayer fans are the most out of control people in the world, still to this day slayer puts on a war of a show as you will see in there up comming video war at the warfield live in sanfrancisco ca 12/01 i havnt seen the dvd yet but i hope to see myself on the floor showing the world how slayer fans kill eachother.

I found and bought this as a USED item for less than what they're currently asking for it used on Amazon (I guess I got lucky) and until recently did not even know it exited (and I see it's from something like a '95 concert), I was watching Tom Arraya in that video montage for 'Angel Of Death' sort of thing and I will have to say that I don't know how that motherf'er doesn't rip the cartilage out of his neck with the breakneck speed that he uses and plays at during that tune.

This needs to be redone onto DVD and sold because I did some searching and it's not available in that format it's only available in VHS videotape at the moment. So it's a must have if you're even remotely into SLAYER: I was a bit disappointed as to the way the video/music was layered into and right directly next to some of the video montages. But overall it's an excellently layed out program.

Fads come and go but slayer are here to stay and this video is documented proof.Several years after its release not only does the performance hold up,the songs still sound as fresh and as vital as ever. The fans obviously agree and some of the footage suggests that they are still ready to give their life for one of the worlds sickest bands.

4.0 out of 5 stars It gives a good choice of Slayer's best songs, January 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Live Intrusion [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The first time I've seen that video I actually wasn't a real Slayer fan, but believe me: I really became one. You can only be amazed be the crazy fans ("crippling" their arms) or the fabulous drumparts with endless and powerful double-bass attacks repesentative for Slayer. They play songs from the "Divine Intervention" record and also classics like "Chemical Warfare". Once you've seen the video all you want is to bang your head to the end on a SLAYER(!!!)-gig. Get this !!

I didn't even know this was out until i heard news about the dvd's release date. Slayer playing live on their "Divine Intervention" tour is perfect since i love that album. I watched all of the concert footage on youtube and it is excellent! I haven't watched the behind the scenes stuff yet but the concert footage alone is worth it. The dvd comes out in a month or two and its only $10 on amazon. Support your Slayer!

Live Intrusion has a lot of the same songs as Reign In Blood: Still Reigning but really is a keeper. Although is a VHS, the sound is really surprisingly loud. I still think they should consider making Live Intrusion a DVD with 5.1 dolby sound. Also, I hope one day Slayer will make another concert DVD with different songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than War At The Warfield & Still Reigning, December 4, 2009
This review is from: Live Intrusion [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I bought this when it first came out & its amazing. I think Slayer does not want to release it on DVD because they know they sound better here than War At The Warfield or Still Reigning. Hopefully a DVD version will be released someday. Its an excellent setlist too. If you still have a VHS player,& your into Slayer then you need to get this.
