4.0 out of 5 stars A strong collection of previously unreleased songs from part of the band "Toronto", November 9, 2010

This review is from: Live It Up! (Audio CD)
After the essential demise of the band Toronto, Holly Woods and Scott Kreyer pushed on and wrote and recorded this album's worth of material. And listening to this stuff from the second half of the 80s, the transition from early 80s Toronto to their final album Assault & Flattery to these recording is pretty much seamless. The sounds here are such a natural progression from the fantastic 80s girl rocker sounds of all the Toronto albums. The 80s rock sound is still here, as are the catchy melodies and powerful female vocals, as well as a continuing maturation of the band's creativity. This rediscovered set of recording is a perfect end to a streak of great Toronto albums. If you love 80s girl rock by Pat Benatar, Heart, Quarterflash and Patty Smythe, definitely check out this album and the other five Toronto albums from the 80s: Lookin for Trouble; Head On; Get it on Credit; Girls Night Out; and Assault & Flattery.
