This one hell of a release, It captures Vader live in Tokyo, japan. what makes this a standout is above other live releases is the sound, performance and overall intenstiy of this band, 18 tracks make this death/grind fest at its best. fast techincal with sharp production raging like 747 in the air when cutting through the dense air. If you like vader then this is a must buy, IF you see this kind of cover artwork and not pick up this cd, do it now because this is one of "the" best live death metal releases of all time ! brutal and unrelenting _ Vader

Poland Invades Japan!,

It grabs you and doesn't let go. If you listen to Metal for the drums then this will make you foam at the mouth as you hear Doc pounding away behind his kit. The isn't the best live album per say but it's pretty damn close. It seems that the recording microphones were right by the drum kit and as a result the drums are the highlight of the show and you really do get to see how fast Doc plays. The only problem is that because of this, the drums sometimes overpower the guitars, but that doesn't happen too often. The other flaw is that the excellent cover of Slayer's Raining Blood is miss-titled as the album Reign in Blood. It seems that Vader weren't the ones designing the album as I'm sure Vader would have corrected this error had they been in charge. Slayer had a huge influence on them (and practically every Death Metal band) as this is their third Slayer cover with the other two being Silent Scream and their live version of Hell Awaits.
The last flaw is that although it sounds like this is the entire concert, it is not. The Japanese Import contains two bonus tracks Incarnation (live) and Dethroned Emperor (live) and for all we know, there could be other missing songs as well. I hate it when labels remove portions of a live album, and this is the only flaw that really gets under my skin. Other then these things, Live in Japan is a death metal album that belongs in the collection of every Vader fan. Whether it be Black to the blind or their cover of Black Sabbath's Self titled song, this is Vader. The dark, mysterious Death Metal band from Poland that gets my utmost respect. These guys know how to play their instruments better than most Death Metal bands and have that Vader edge that can not be replicated. This live album represents who they are and what they do best. Hoped this helped. Update: Just recently Former Vader Drummer Doc passed away at the age of 35. He will truly be missed, as he was one of my favorite drummers of all time. His style of drumming was truly unique and grabbing and shall never be seen again. This CD is the perfect way to see just how amazing this man was. R.I.P. Krzysztof "Doc" Raczkowski 1970-2005
