5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! August 30, 2007
Let me say that it is a real shame that this CD is currently unavailable on Amazon, because it is fantastic! Luckily enough, here in Europe, it is not difficult to find it and it is also available for purchase on Negene Records web site. After I received from Amazon Matt's last effort "Ear to the ground" I was so impressed by his blues that I decided to buy everything was on the market and I am glad I did. Of course this is a live recording taken on April the 20th in Camden Town, London. What a talented guy and what a gifted guitarist Matt is! Surely one of the best around and not just in UK. To be fair it has to be said that on this records there are three songs that are also included on the previous live album "The trio live" and they are: "Uncle junior", "Travellin' south" and "Cissy strut", however just for the stunning live version of "Lights are on, but nobody's home" this is a must have for every blues fan. Fantastic guitar playing, incredible groove, amazing feeling throughout the entire recording (and more takes from the same gig are available for free downloads from Negene web site) make this CD elevates to the higher standard. Matt Schofield is about to take the electric blues world by the storm. Excellent!
