Hound Dog at his Rockin' Best, January 24, 2008
This review is from: Live at Joe's Place (Audio CD)
This material also saw issue under the 'Charly' banner (out of UK/England/Europe). As other reviews noted, not the greatest sound quality, but a fantastic live performance. For Elmore fans, Taylor's version of 'Wild About You Baby' is just incredible..... a stompin' tour-de-force with nothing held back that's just about worth the price of admission alone. I think the New Rose is probably the original release, with Charly no doubt having copied it. You might be able to pick up one of the Charly's cheaper (reissued in at least two versions that I know of on that label alone). Too bad Alligator never thought to license these sides..... it would fit nicely in their catalog.

Great late night music out of Cleveland radion station., March 24, 1999

On my way to my father's funeral I came across this gem while driving past Cleveland late at night. Sure the sound may not have been perfect, like the digitally remastered albums, but I knew the style immediately. I hope that it finds a new label.

Fairly good sound quality for an imported live CD; lots of instrumentals, but a few choice tracks that are excellent. Great cover of Kansas City.
