She Won't Be Lonely Long

Of his nine previous albums, four are RIAA-certified platinum, two more are certified gold; among nearly three dozen singles, 11 have been No. 1. But Walker sounds like he’s just getting started.

When it comes to helping others, Clay Walker is there. In 1996, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and since then has become a relentless advocate for a cure. “My first thought ... Read more in Amazon's Clay Walker Store

Editorial Reviews

Clay Walker is an eminently likeable country singer who appears to have sold 6 million records largely on his likability. Not that he is without talent. He may look like a standard-issue "hat" act, but his voice is a cut above. With new producer Doug Johnson he has set out to place his voice front and center, a good idea with mixed results. On cuts like the rocker "Cold Hearted" and the R&B-style ballad "This Time Love," Walker cuts his considerable pipes loose in a way rarely heard in commercial country fare. Sadly, too much of the other material gives him little to do with this marvelous instrument, and the sound occasionally masks the subtle vocal twists at which Walker is so adept. Live, Laugh, Love isn't overproduced--steel guitars have replaced many of the pop keyboards present in his previous work and the record has an authentically loose and relaxed feel--but there are too many forced hooks and forgettable melodies. --Michael Ross

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Enough to Attract a New Fan December 21, 1999
Format:Audio CD
Having recently bought the album, I have a new appreciation for the editorial review of Michael Ross. All should read the Ross review.
'Live, Laugh, Love' is the song that first attracted me to Walker and his work, and I bought the album. At first I was disappointed that there were not more songs that featured the title's calypso-like, get-up-and-dance style; but it is difficult NOT to like and appreciate the various styles represented. 'Chain of Love' has overtaken the title song as my favorite, and 'Once in a Lifetime Love' truly showcases Walker's vocal talent. Most other songs are romantic, easy-to-listen-to ballad types, and will no doubt be appreciated by his many female fans. I'd rate 'Cold Hearted' and 'This Time Love' as the weakest cuts on the album, but still give them three 'stars' each.
Overall, I liked Walker's work enough to buy four more of his albums, so maybe with only four stars, I'm a tough grader.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clay Walker presents a well balanced album. September 28, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
"Live Laugh Love" is a wonderful release. While all the songs are excellent one tune stands out, "The Chain Of Love". I'd reccommend the whole album for that one song. Clay's pure country and I'm glad he is!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! May 3, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I love Clay Walker. I think he's sweet, cute, and a good singer! I liked the album "Live, Laugh, Love" a lot. My favorite songs were She's Always Right, Holding Her and Loving You (originally sung by Earl Thomas Conley), It Ain't Called Heartland For Nothin', and the Chain of Love. I enjoyed the rest of the songs, also, with the exception of This Time Love--I think that this song pushed the limits of Clay's voice. This album is still deserving of 5 stars, though. I recommend this album to any country music fan. Buy this album and support Clay Walker!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Complete Album! December 6, 1999
Format:Audio CD
Clay Walker's album Live, Laugh, Love is exactly right. The album has real life meaning in "If A Man Ain't Thinking('Bout His Woman)". You can laugh and dance to the title song "Live, Laugh, Love". And you can feel the love to "The Chain of Love". All together this has got to be his best album and one of countries best album.

5.0 out of 5 stars His best CD to date! November 8, 2001
Format:Audio CD
While I've been a fan of Clay and his music from the first CD, Live, Laugh, Love presents a man who is obviously in absolute control of his voice and who he is as an artist.
While the song selection is even better than before, Clay takes his voice into territory that few male country artists even dare think about. Most importantly, it's not just for show. He uses his power when it fits the song. For example check out the way he keeps building "If A Man Ain't Thinking ('Bout His Woman)" and "Once In A Lifetime Love". Just when we think he can't take his vocal performance any higher, he effortlessly proves us wrong. And, in case you may be thinking this is "studio magic", we've heard him live. Have you ever heard an artist who is even better live? Clay hits his recent hits note for note and turns in even more powerful performances on his old standards.
Clay also demonstrates his knack for choosing love songs with a twist like "She's Always Right", "Lose Some Sleep Tonight" and "Woman Thing". And of course he's still able to teach a life's lesson with the heartfelt, "The Chain of Love." Overall, there is not a bad or marginal song on this CD. That's why we have renamed it "Greatest Hits 2"

5.0 out of 5 stars He did it again! October 12, 2000
Format:Audio CD
As a country music fan, I started listening to Clay when I started listening to country in 1993. Each album tops the last. He's got a traditional sound with a great pop twist. His love songs are beautifully written, as well as performed. The more I listened to his music, the more I loved it. You can hear the heart and soul he puts into every song. He's the complete package. He loves performing, he's a devoted husband and father, and he is genuine. All of which makes him sexy. I spoke with the DJ in charge of events at the biggest country station in the mid-atlantic. He said out of all the music artists he spoke with and met, Clay was the easiet to talk to. He loves what he does, and it shows. If you love music with heart, Clay is definitely the way to go!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a way to live, laugh and love June 28, 2000
Format:Audio CD
A very awesome CD. From the 1st song, "She's Always Right", to the last, you will enjoy what you're hearing. My favorites are "Holding Her And Loving You", and the amazing song, "Chain Of Love", and of course the upbeat song "Live, Laugh, Love". But I feel that all of them are excellent. I highly reccomend this CD. Some CD's are worth owning, and very rarely do you find those CD's anymore, but this one is worth every penny. I only review CD's that are truly worth my time, and I assure you, this is Absolutely one of the best!

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS is a KEEPER! June 15, 2010
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Clay Walker just keeps getting better!
Here are 5 charted songs on this 11 track c.d. between 1998 & 2000.
Some of the chart # are not very high on some cuts,
which is difficult to understand, when you hear how good his music is.

1. "Holding her and loving you", -- didn't make the top 50 in 1998.
2, "She's always right", -- top 20 in 1999.
3. "Live, laugh, love", -- jut outside of the top ten in 1999.
4. "The chain of love", -- top ten hit in 1999.
5. "Once in a lifetime love", -- didn't reach the top 50 in 1999.

Walker's voice is EXCELLENT here, always easy to listen to.
Four of the hits that are here are also on the "Platinum Collection",
but one song seems to be found only here, "Once in a lifetime love".
This is another keeper for a country music collection.
