It was worth the wait!,

Being a huge Dissection fan, I have been actually awaiting this album for a LONG time, and hoping the sound quality can compare to Frozen in Wacken '97. Well... it's actually much BETTER! Every beat is SO tight, the quality is SO clean, and Jon gives the best preformance i've heard to date (STUDIO OR LIVE!!), dispite having his brother on bass and a different drummer from their studio albums, they don't just keep up, they sound like they have always been part of Dissection, so don't let the fact it's not the original lineup stop you from buying this. Now, if only their new studio effort was out... maybe i'll write another review then.

A good purchase,

This album is basically Storm of the Light's Bane in a live version (has a couple songs from Somberlain). The guitars, of course, aren't as clear and crisp as the studio albums, the drumming slightly loud (sounds very powerful/raw), and the vocals are outstanding (passionate and strong). The line-up is somewhat different. No Ohman or Palmdahl on this album. Instead Jon's younger brother, Emil Nodveidt, is on bass, and the drummer is different. I think it's interesting in itself that the two Nodveidt brothers are playing together. The booklet has input (from Jon, rest in peace) about each song, some pictures, and the original lyrics to every song.
For anyone new to Dissection, try their studio albums first (better sound quality). For anyone looking for new Dissection material, there isn't any in this album. For Dissection fans, just buy/download this. As other reviewers have noted, for being a live show, the musicianship and sound quality are both impressive. It's an excellent addition to any Dissection fan's collection. The title is a play on words, as Jon means "Evil" legacy and not so much "Live" legacy ('live' spelled backwards is 'evil'??). Clever, no?

First of all, the artwork is astonishing. I received the Digipak version from Germany. It does not have a lot of songs but the ones that it does are their best. What really made this album great was the sound quality (great mix and panning). I have never heard Dissection so clean. The lows are just right, along with the mid and high frequencies. It is a must buy for fans of Dissection!
