Andrea Buchanan has done it again with another thought provoking book about love and the need, pursuit, maintenance, desire, and security of love. I've bought one for my girlfriend, for my mother, for my girlfriend's mother even...it's never too late for love, it's never something to stop searching for, and it's never something to fear when you have loved and lost. If you read one book about love as you celebrate Valentine's Day with a special someone, make it this book. If you read two books about love, read this one twice. This is one of those books that can change a person's life, I know it will change those special people I love and I hope it will change yours as well.

What an extraordinary collection of stories!!! These women are so amazing and so honest, and each of these pieces just made my heart leap up in hope and recognition and love. Wow, what they have all been through... and survived! I bought four extra copies to give out to my posse of gals for Valentine's Day. Single or not, this book would reach out into anyone's core and warm it, no matter what they are going through. Women rock. Thank you, Andrea Buchanan, for putting this together and getting out into the world. I am deeply honored to have played a tiny part in it all.

This book is just fantastic. There are no words. It sounds trite, but it is truly life-changing. Some of these women have been through incredible, heart-wrenching experiences. For example, Jaclyn Katz, who is only 18 years old, is truly an inspiration to all, and I am giving this book to my children so that they can understand what STRENGTH and COURAGE are. Thank you, Andrea, for putting this together.

I like this book a lot. OK, I love it - after all it is all about love! But, what the heck is love? Love is LIFE! We all have a God-given capacity and responsibility to give love and receive love. I want to live that - that continuous cycle! Don't we all? How do we do it? Maybe you dove into love and were hurt. How do you find the strength to dive in again? Are you seeking love from others? From yourself? Maybe you've never allowed yourself the gift of the beautiful yielding of loving - trusting that your goodness will be noted, caught and cherished. Read this book. These accounts of love WILL sweeten your life and your capacity to give and receive love.

After having read (and loved) Andrea Buchanan's first book, "Note To Self", when her new one was released I ordered it immediately. I was actually a little worried that my expectations may be too high for this one, but it turns out my fears were completely unfounded as the author has raised the bar again. I think what makes this type of book so compelling (a collection of women's true life experiences) is the fact that most readers will be able to personally relate to many of the stories. And if not, you will at least be emotionally moved by all of them, either to laughter or tears, and sometimes both! As with the first book, each contributor tells of going through heart breaking (love can and usually will break your heart at some point!) adversity and challenges, and emerging at the end as a stronger and wiser person. I was happy to see that, as in the first book, there is actually a note to self at the end of each chapter which beautifully summarizes the lessons learned. It's not necessary to read the first book to enjoy this one, but if you haven't read it I strongly recommend both!

After reading Andrea's previous offering, Note to Self, I knew I had to get Live and Let Love. Each of these books came to me at times when I seemed to need them, needed to read the vast and diverse stories of love and healing and giving. The short story format of the book lends itself to easy reading on painfully brief lunch breaks, and its sweet lil size makes it oh so convenient to slip into your bag for travel or even the wait at the doc's office. But be careful which story you choose to read at what time and location. You just may be laughing out loud on the subway or shedding a tear at Starbucks. But just like the very personal, brave stories shared in this inspiring book, you will realize the outbursts of laughter, those tears in your eyes, are not only ok, they are Life at its best. Gena Kay, Los Angeles
