Claude Hickman captures the truth of the theme of the Bible--for all nations to worship God-- in his book, Live Life on Purpose. I have read several books about fulfilling your life purpose, but his is by far the most Biblical in practice. Hickman's sense of humor and personality come through in his book which definitely gives it a down-to-earth feel as well as making it easy to relate to. Hickman provides not only the Biblical basis of missions, but also provides practical applications to the truth from God's Word. I think college students and young professionals should read this book before they get settled in their careers.

I am only 75 pages into Hickman's book, but it is a powerful, personal challenge to every believer (especially college students and singles) to find God's purpose in life and follow with reckless abandon. Grab it while you can. It is a winner!

Do not read this book. This book just might radically alter the course of your life - it may bring you out of a complacent, quiet Christian lifestyle into an exhilerating adventure. And we wouldn't want that, right? All silliness aside, I will gladly recommend this book to any person who is truly seaching for the answer to "What is God's will for my life?" While this book will not give them THE ANSWER, it will help give them THE DIRECTION.

WOW!!! What an awesome book!!! I love the easy reading style of the author and yet with such a depth of information. My Life Purpose has definetly been challenged. Have I missed it? Will I be fulfilled at the end of my life?
This is not a guilt producing book about selling ALL you have a moving to a third world country. This is a book that has deeply challenged me to not want to miss anything God may have for me. It is not about my sacrifice- It is about a love- relationship with the Father. This book has helped to move me closer to God while I learn to TRUST HIM MORE!
This is definetly one of my favorite books!!!!

People of all ages are in a desperate search for meaning and purpose in their lives. The endless longing to make a difference and find purpose in a world that is intent on split second decisions and superficiality has left us insanely wide and miserably shallow. Sit back, grab a cup of joe, close yourself off from the rest of the world and take the time to consider the charge that the author is calling us to hear...do something with your life, seize it, and make a difference.

After the third time I read this book I felt like I was supposed to learn more about Wycliffe Bible Translators and perhaps apply to the organization. Three years later I'm gearing up to go overseas with Wycliffe to bring God's word to a people group that does not have the Bible in their language. If you want a challenge, first of all, go read your Bible. Secondly, read this book and be willing to go wherever God leads you!

An inspiring message from the "Pied Piper" of missionaries. But be warned: Claude will move you to act; either to do or to support others in doing. Either way, you will imagine your life filled with service for the betterment of all.

I wish I had met Claude 25 years ago. I'd be a different man for it, I'm sure.
