Very short book, definately a one night read. But so much meaning is within the pages. As you unfold the meaning of life, you are just carried away with this book and can take into context your life as well as others around you. "We are all terminal, some are just lucky enough to know it" is among one of the many very inspirational quotes withing the binding. I would reccomend, great gift idea as well.

This is a wonderful book on how one should live to realize ones true potential.I ordered four copies as gifts to friends and family members .
As I approach my 71st birthday , I have a brand new outlook on how I will spend my remaining years . In essence, GO FOR IT !!!!

Since I love this song I bought both books and they are both fantastic! The song book has lyrics from the song and some wonderful inspirational thoughts about life. The companion novel "Live Like You Were Dying: A Story About Living" goes into detail about the story inside the song. It shows the life of the narrator of the song and expands upon what Tim McGraw sings about. (Now every time I hear the song I think about Nathan and his daddy!) Both of these books are wonderful and are great when read together. This song has touched so many people and is becoming a classic.

More is said in this small book regarding the appreciation of life than any I've ever read. I wish I could afford to purchase one for everyone I know. Since that's not possible, I've recommended it to them; several have made the purchase. Absolutely heart-stirring!

I really enjoyed this book! It toached me emotionaly. It was so real. I learned to live each day as it was my last because everyday is a gift from God and it is up to you to decided what you are going to do with that gift. This is such a great book! "May we live like we were dying"

This book was a great gift for several important people in my life. I was a little disappointed to find that the song was different than what you hear on the radio. It's not as dramatic as the radio version. I still listen to my copy quite a bit and the people I gave them to like them as well.

I found this book to be touching and inspirational. It was well written and nicely presented. It impressed me so much that I bought extra copies to pass along to my daughter and 2 of my best friends. The CD that was included was and added bonus.

My husband passed away 12 days before his 41st birthday - he LIVED just like this book talks about - long before he new he was sick - Someone gave me a copy of this book and WOW - I realized he knew how to LIVE and it has given me the boost I need to LIVE mine until I see him again!

I first heard Tim McGraw's song on the radio when my mother was hospitalized and in very serious condition. I didn't hear it again on the radio until she was hospitalized yet again and we had gotten some very bad news. Both times, I felt it was meant specifically for me to hear it and really listen to it. The book is written almost like a child's book, but the message really is very simple and you don't need a 250-page self-help book to understand the meaning. I will read it again and again just to drive the message home and plan to get additional copies to give away for upcoming birthday gifts. The CD with the song goes along with it nicely.

This is a wonderful little book with lyrics and a CD of a song that will inspire anyone who just takes a few minutes out of their busy lifestyle and thinks about what a great gift life really is.
Although it is a small book;it is filled with thoughts that are as great as the stars in the universe.There are many lines that one can use a beacons to guide them.While "Live Like You Were Dying" is wise and inspirational;there are many other ones in the book that are ideas that are profond and each of need our mantra help guide us through life.
As you read this book,you are going to come across those all powerful ideas like faith,hope,love,heaven,magic,friends,belief,family,Savior,care,charity,stop,go,prayer,forgivenesss,singing,memories,laughing,crying,decisions,and it is only by making these words part of your life;that your life can be come a spiritual journey.
This book would make a treasured gift for anyone you love.
