Sadly, Lee Brilleaux passed away on the same day that Curt Cobaine commited suicide, and his legacy has been greatly overlooked ever since then. Dr. Feelgood were a brilliant live band, and everyone who ever had the opportunity to see them rockin' the night away, coverd in a cloud of cigarette smoke and the smell of beer, probably still talks about such an event. They never made it big in the USA (which says more about the US music scene than the quality of Dr. Feelgood) - but this is pub rock at it's best. This CD was released shortly after Lee Brilleaux' dead and it features great live recordings from one of their last shows. This is dirty rock'n'roll and blues, recorded in very good quality live in London. If you like your rock'n'roll fast (You upset me, She does it right, See you later Alligator, Route 66, Bony Maronie or the timeless Milk and Alcohol) or dirty (Mad Man Blues, Baby Jane, Down at the Doctors) this CD will definitely leave you 'satisfied'. And did I mention, that Brilleaux was a master of the harmonica ? The prove is right here on this CD. He is the only guy who I have ever seen smoking 2 cigarettes at the same time while playing his harmonica.
