His last live album, September 13, 2002
This review is from: Live in London (Audio CD)
Four months after he cut a live session in Alabama for Tomanna Records ("Unplugged"), he went to London for this final effort.
He added a few instruments for this later venture and the support was not completely necessary, though welcome. They gave him lots of echo which brings out the many of facets of his still amazing voice - despite failing health at age 63 (?), turn of the Century tunes like "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" are presented with all the splendour and historical integrity they deserve, and '60s Pop like "I Got You Babe", done in Nelson Eddy/Jeannette McDonald-style with Tiny switching seamlessly from low to high voice, resonate in a pleasant way.
The only dull spot is the '50s tribute, "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" - a full band is needed for something like this. (Fans look for Tiny's cool reworking of Jerry Lee Lewis's "Great Balls Of Fire" on Reprise Records).
The Eternal Troubadour does succeed with "There'll Always Be An England", using his strong baritone, another entry for deep and casual fans to marvel at - many folks associate him only with the far-out falsetto on "Tip-Toe.." and the early television appearances. (Fans note another good rendition on the Sony vodeo "Message To Love - The Isle Of Wight Festival - The Movie", a concert filmed in 1970).

A treasure for a true fan!, August 28, 2001

I recieved Tiny's CD yesterday and though I've only listened to half of it,I really love it! I had the great pleasure of seeing Tiny Tim in concert in 96, in Branson,Mo. and this CD could have been recorded on that night. Tiny was not just a novelty act, he was the consumate performer, with a vast knowledge of music history. This "Live in London" concert CD is Tiny at his best! I would recommend this one to fans and non-fans alike
