Buckcherry Live and Loud 2009.,
By Gitters (Allendale, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Live & Loud 2009 (Audio CD)
Buckcherry Live and Loud 2009, captures the energy of Buckcherry in concert. I've seen them in a concert a couple of times, and must say they put on a good show. It makes since for Buckcherry to release and live album at this time since 15 and Black Butterfly have been their most poplar albums to date. The cd contains most of the hits you'd expect to hear at a Buckcherry show such as; "Lit Up", "Crazy B*tch", "Sorry", "Everything", "Rescue Me" etc. The only suprising omission is "Too Drunk", but that doesn't bother me, what's here rocks, and rocks hard and loud! At the list price this cd's also a bargain. Buckcherry fans ad this to your collection.

I went and saw Buckcherry live at the o2 academy Newcastle (UK) this album sent me straight back there. Its a raw sound like you find on either Buckcherry or Time bomb. Not the sopisticated sound you find on either 15 or Black Butterfly. But as a Live album it works very well. My only regret with the album is that Highway star (which was sung on the night) was left off the album. Having already bought Black Butterfly before it had Highway star added I would have liked to have found it on this album. All that aside the album is great, a real live band doing what they do best. 10 out of 10.

Album Title Certainly Accurate,
This review is from: Live & Loud 2009 (Audio CD)
Buckcherry most certainly lives up to their album title. This live album is a worthy compilation of their average setlist with a few surprises (Cream, Lawless & Lulu, etc). While it's not the real deal relative to the great live show that they put on every time they're on tour, this is the next best thing with songs spanning over all 3 of their albums. A great live album!

If you like Buckcherry you will be happy with this live CD. Really, you are gonna smile when you put this CD in your player and crank it up. Its everything a Buckcherry fan would expect. Its loud, its live and it ROCKS! Some older songs and some new music. I like when bands do live CDs, they put a different twist on songs and there is that raw anything can happen feel. I wish this Live & Loud CD was a double CD, and I wish bands made live CDs every tour/studio CD (that's just me, I guess that's what bootlegs are for). I've seen Buckcherry live before and will be seeing them again in Oakland CA. in a few weeks. They put their live show on CD and it sounds good. Where is the Live & Loud DVD?

This was recorded right off of the heals of the hugely successful '15' album that the band put out. However, they do not neglect the old songs and a few of the stuff they had written after 15. The sound of the album is great, considering it is live. Most real live records suffer from a lot of sound issues. The band hits hard during their live shows, and this record captures that well.

love Buckcherry, but disappointing live album if haven't seen them live yourself,

Buckcherry is one of my favorite bands but I was disappointed in this live album. I notice that a lot of people who rate this highly have seen them live and this album evokes that experience for them -- I haven't seen them and my impression was "THIS is the best live material they had???"
In interviews with the band, they talked about carefully pulling together parts of their tour for the album and I must say I'm surprised. For example - I love Josh Todd's voice, but on this album he just sounds off-key and tired. I'm still glad I bought it because I want to support the band, but still if you have these songs on other studio-recorded albums you may be disappointed at the sound on this album.

I saw the concert, bought this CD and "Black Butterfly". Loved all three. Hadn't burned out on the riffs yet. Highly recommended if you're a Buckcherry fan.
