Biography

A popular 1966 poem, “Please Hear What I’m Not Saying,” begs the reader, Don’t be fooled by the face I wear, for I wear a mask . . . I tell you everything that’s really nothing, and nothing of what’s everything, of what’s crying within me.

In 2009, Thousand Foot Krutch takes a hard rock hammer to this universal matter of hidden ... Read more in Amazon's Thousand Foot Krutch Store

Editorial Reviews

2011 two disc (CD + DVD) live release from the Alt-Rock favorites. This set brings the passion, fist-pumping, in-your-face rock to the live venue recorded live in 2010. The past two years have been a whirlwind for Thousand Foot Krutch since the release of their fifth studio album, Welcome to the Masquerade, which produced three #1 Christian Rock singles, two Top 10 Christian CHR singles, one Top 15 Active Rock single as well as numerous TV, film, gaming and sport arena placements including being featured at the Super Bowl as well as ESPN's use during numerous NCAA games.

Based on my title, you may think, "Wait, there aren't any new songs. Why would this be the best cd?". The answer is simply Trev's intensity is fully realized live. His energy level is off the charts on this cd and his shouts to crowd like "Come on Edmonton!!! Show me what you got!" give even more hype to the songs. Voice quality of Trev is spot-on and no one can not say he cannot hold his voice quality live, and that stands for the whole band.

And that's just the audio aspect of the cd. It comes with a live dvd as well. For less than twelve dollars, you are getting a great package. A no-regret purchase :)

I love this live cd/dvd combo. Definitely worth the money. Trevor's voice is perfectly in tune throughout the concert and it's absolutely incredible. I also like the fact that in the middle of the performance, he says "we love God with all of our hearts and we don't really care what anyone thinks about that." They're truly an amazing band.

Okay. So I am one of the biggest TFK fans out there (and i'm not just saying that), having over 90 of their songs and being kinda obsessive over them, so you'd think I would just plain love this CD, the end. But no. There are some problems.

First, let me explain the reason I bought this CD - and this might be a little odd to you people reading this - but the purpose was to see how Trevor (the main singer) was in real life...there is a difference between studio recordings and watching him in person (which I have yet to do) and watching a DVD (which was as close as I've gotten to going to a concert). I wanted to see if he was real.

Now, the video itself was great quality, very well done. I definitely could have saw less of the guitar player with the dreads (he isn't even part of the group, just there for the tour). I didn't watch the video to see him, ya know? So there is problem number one.

I read somebody else's comment about the drummer (that's Steve) only having one camera in one spot on him, and that is absolutely true, but I truly didn't mind it. It was a good angle, I thought, to watch him rock on those drums (and boy did he!!). He should have been shown more than the dreads dude though.

Secondly, there was not NEAR enough of the main artist here, Trevor McNevan, whom I was wishing to see in the first place. I think he, besides Joel the bassist, got some of the least bit of viewing. Besides on the song Already Home and also some of the other slower songs. Maybe the the camera men had a hard time following him around or something because he moved a good bit...I don't know. But that was the most disappointing thing about the DVD.

Now, the CD. It is great; TFK does an EXCELLENT job live.

Yeah. This rocks. It includes most of their best songs. And it is live. So it isn't retouched at all. All TFK fans will love it.

This live concert recording says it all! The vocals are impeccable and the music is heart pounding. I've seen these guys live so I know that it wasn't remixed in the studio too much. Dude, I love Thousand Foot Krutch!

Best Christian metal band since Stryper! Period!!!

This is my first TFK CD. Really excellent sound and a powerful performance. The have a great stage presence on the DVD too. Great Christian rock that is better than a lot of current secular rock bands. Give it a try.
