5.0 out of 5 stars Pain DVD - Live is over rated, July 19, 2007
By J. Gomez "J. Gomez" (Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When I first bought this I was a little skepticle, but alas, like all other reviews that start like that, I was truly amazed. The DVD has all the songs and moreif you ever looked up pain on youtube, from the dark show on youtube. The interview with Peter I must say was kinda disappointing, either Peter really didnt like the interviewer, or he just didnt want to be there. I also had a hard time telling what the interviewer was saying, as she clearly had english as a second language.

There is also a second show on the DVD, which was also mind blowing, and all together they played all their best songs.

The ONLY thing I did not like about this DVD was that they didnt play my favorite song, "Third Wave", BUT you hear it faintly in one of the menus. Sad but not much you can do.

ALSO the dvd has what I think is all there music videos, all of which are very well done. All together a GREAT DVD, and a highly recommended one.

I remember reading one of the reviews here before I bought this (the one w/ 3 stars) & based on that review I was skeptical to buy this DVD. But after viewing some videos on Youtube I instantly got this DVD & I couldn't be happier! This is another killer production from the people at Mastermind & they did it this time with Peter Tagtgren's Pain. 'Live is Overrated' rocks from beginning to end along with studio quality production, & the lighting is cool too...& IT IS ABSOLUTELY LIVE! Peter knows his stuff because his band Hypocrisy sounds that good live too! Are there songs that I would've liked to have heard on this DVD? Of course, but what DVD possibly includes every song that we all would love to see live? If you are a fan of this band I think the setlist will definitely satisfy you & it's worth your money. (By the way, it's nice to see a couple of hot chicks make up half of the band as opposed to the usual 1 chick that might be in an all male band.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Alright just not very memorable, January 12, 2007
By Anders Johanson (Blue Springs, MO USA) - See all my reviews
This DVD was alright...nothing really jumps out and grabs my attention about the show. I basically watched it once and traded it in because I felt like I could live without it. I think it would be cool to see Pain live becasue I think Peter is talented but I thought the Hypocrisy DVD was more memorable. Oh well I like Pain's albums but the DVD wasnt very memorable.
