Mother Africa does it again. I have been a fan for years but just heard this CD. This is one of her best and it is not just because most of the music is in English. Makeba showcases both her upbeat booty joy dance side and her gentle militant side. This is a must buy!

Although this CD has been around for a while, it is still a stunning piece of what is today called World Music. Makeba's music has been around since the 1960s, and her voice on this album is amazing, taking you from the political to the deepest blues to joy infused pop music. This is a real winner!

Here we have a wonderful CD encompassing many of Makeba's most popular songs, as well as some rarely heard. This is testimony to her amazing ability to put her own stamp on a great variety of styles, languages, and genres. One of her best recordings!
