5.0 out of 5 stars wow
I have almost every live Phish release to date. I recently added 10 to my collection, and I was amazed. The first two disc of this release are absolutely unbelieveable. They only stop playing for one song on the second set. TMWSIY I think really brings alot to this show. And the Weekapaug, I mean seriously its absolutely rediculous. I HIGHLY RECOMEND this set next...

3.0 out of 5 stars decent show, not the best
i personally think this show is sort of a disapointment, im a huge phan of the 94 years of phish, but this show just seems to be lacking, though its a great first set, the seccond set seems to be a bit sloppy, treys guitar seems to be a tiny bit out of tune durring sample in a jar, and the big ball jam sort of sounds like its held together by fishman's drums, although it...

5.0 out of 5 stars my favorite show released by phish, November 12, 2002

Out of the 16 volumes to date, this has got to be the best. All in all, this show is great. A nice llama opener and a rocking maze in the first set is nice, but the magic was made in the second. When Fish drops the beat in 2001 to start the set, it is heaven after that, especially when simple segues back into mike song, ridiculous. And then a fluffhead, and a nice antelope filler, makes these 3 cds overall the most complete. Now for individual songs over the whole series, check out 11....(tweezer opener, YEM and most importantly ghost...amazing), 8(the chalkdust torture is probably, individually, my favorite song of the whole series), and 12(mike's grove-mike was definitely grooving).

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 discs filled with great music..., July 30, 2005
By
This review is from: Live Phish Vol. 10: 6/22/94, Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Columbus, Ohio (Audio CD)
HIGHLIGHTS
disc 1: "llama" of course has some cool guitar riffs, "gumbo" has a sweet guitar and piano solo that ends up going into a great "maze" filled with (as always) some kicka** solos, after that comes a personal favorite of mine, "if i could i would", which includes a beautiful solo by page, another piano solo in "scent of a mule", the "stash" is about 11 minutes long and the set then ends with "golgi apparatus"

disc 2: this disc is unlike any other entire disc by phish that i have listened to.. set 2 (disc 2) starts out with a fairly short "2001" (4:46) which goes right into "mike's song" and starts one of the longest mike's grooves out there, that then goes into an instrumental "simple" that's 3 minutes long which very sleakily trey takes it and makes it "catapult", which then goes back into "simple", this time with words (this is also when they start to get a little goofy); this then goes into the most hilarious "icculus" ever (one that makes me laugh hard every time i listen to it), this then goes back into 2 minutes of "simple"... (i needed to break up this part of the review somehow, thus the "...", although the music doesn't stop)...right from "simple" is a minute of "mike's song", which flows nicely into a peaceful "i am hydrogen".. at this point it gets real chilled.. until it goes into a short, 3 1/2 minute "weekapaug groove" , then when "wg" turns into "tmwsiy", it almost seems that they knew this would happen all along and this is one of those special moments for me .. then, something provokes them to play thee traditional "avenu malcanu", which turns right back to where they left off in "tmwsiy" which gets funky towards the end and goes into a kick***, 14 1/2 minute "fluffhead".. at the end of "fluffhead" it goes silent for awhile and the disc ends with "my sweet one", although it's hard to hear

disc 3: still set 2, disc starts out with "big ball jam", then goes into goes into a 10 minute "jjlc" a couple more songs to close out the show (not to be negative or to bring down this show at all, but the encore is the worst i have heard)and then a filler added that includes an awesome "antelope" that goes on for about 20 minutes

all in all, definitely a great show to have, and if you just wanna sit, chill, and have a good time, pop in disc 2...

i have spent a good amount of time reviewing as i have been listening to this show and i hope that my review has been helpful in some way

5.0 out of 5 stars just buy it... IT'S AMAZING!, May 16, 2002

Simply put, this is the best live Phish i've ever heard. The second disk is crazy. Crazy! The sound quality is the best that I've heard in the new live series. Trey's guitar tone is superb. The first time I listened to the second disk, I got chills at different points throughout the whole jam. Maze and the twenty minute Antelope had the same effect. I swear I'm smiling just writing this review! Just buy it. And play it loud!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just...Stunning., December 28, 2004
This review is from: Live Phish Vol. 10: 6/22/94, Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Columbus, Ohio (Audio CD)
This show is absolutely incredible. Every jam from this show is completely golden. The second set is one of the best sets I've ever heard, the whole GIANT Mike's going into Fluffhead! Stash and Maze in the first set are also unbelievable. In fact, this entire show is just amazing. Right from Llama to the Antelope filler, the extra-tight jams in this show make it a must-buy.

I tend to think that this show is a little underrated. it was my first show from the livephish series and i fell in love with it. while i didn't follow the band around this time period, this show features strong playing and tons of imagination. the second set is be no means mind bending, but the flow between songs is incredible and probably deserves a little more recognition. the first set features strong versions of tunes mostly from rift but also a few from picture of nectar and hoist. nothing too special (read: old and rare)pops up here in terms of the tunes they play, but the playing is great especially in noteworthy versions of rift, maze, and stash. the second set starts with 2001 and makes a great transition to mike's song, which i really enjoyed. then for about ten minutes we hear first the riff from simple break out (but no lyrics yet), trey picks up on a new riff and sings "catapult", then goes back into simple (this time with lyrics). a crazy icculus comes up next, having something to do with the lyrics from simple and the nba finals game going on at the time. this goes back into simple, mike's song shows up again, and we finally hit i am hydrogen. the set goes on with weekapaug groove as usual (with great bass playing from mike)but then phish segues into another set of songs-basically 2001 starts the second set and there are no between-song pauses until after fluffhead. yes, they play fluffhead...its pretty good too! this show loses a star from me concerning the encore...it just wasn't as good as it needed to be but the long set of songs in the second set must have really taken a lot of effort! the filler is demand>run like an antelope and i honestly haven't listened to it much but i remember it being good. this is well worth your cash, but remember to take the time and sit down to listen to the whole second set!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings back memories!, July 1, 2002

This review is from: Live Phish Vol. 10: 6/22/94, Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Columbus, Ohio (Audio CD)
I was lucky enough to be at this concert back in 1994, and even though I had listened to Phish a little before then, this concert is what really hooked me on their music. I've been to many many shows since then, but none compared to this one - especially since it was a venue intimate enough to allow them to sing a cappella and unmiked in front of the stage (My Sweet One). These discs brought it all back to me - I felt like I was there all over again. This recording really captures the essence of live Phish, and I imagine any newcomer could get hooked on a first listen the same way I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Concert From a Big Phish Fan, June 23, 2004

This is quite possibly the best set of the Live Phish series. I am a big phish fan, and this is one of my favorites. The only downpoint is when the crowd breaks out into a bunch of shushing, but it only happens a few times. Plenty of classics, plenty of great jamming, there is no way to not like this one.

This is nothing short of amazing. I am a huge phish fan, and this is one of the best of the live phish series. The only downpoint of this cd is when the crowd occasionally goes into a round of shushing. A phish concert is no place to shush, but anyway, this is an amazing concert - plenty of classics, plenty of great jamming, there is no way to not love this 3 disk set.

This is some stellar listening right here. Disc two through mike's song to weekapaug groove is phenomenal. Page's piano on gumbo is great, and the encore also superb. I reccomend live phish 10 if you're interested in buying one of the live phish, it is a truly amazing concert
