I still like the album, but it would be refreshing to just hear an actual live album from WASP.
Allister Fiend
Definitely a must-have for any W.A.S.P fan and a good starting point for anyone who wants to hear most of the best of their earlier songs.
Chris Burles
I love listening to this CD - the sound quality is great for all the live tracks except for the bonus tracks.

Amazon, just cause you got the rights to the mp3 files in 2003 doesn't qualify you to put that as "original release date". This is 1987 album, fer cryin outloud. Please start putting correct release dates on albums!!

This album has all the best tracks from the first three releases, along with two unreleased tracks and several bonus tracks. Well worth a listen if you want to return to the glory days of hair metal.

I had this cd when it came out. I really enjoyed W.A.S.P. back in the 80's and I still do today. Great concert!

In one album. The sound is excellent and Blackie is at his demonic sounding best. This is a one stop shop.

Im not big on live albums. However, one will come along every now and then and I will pay attention. This album...It still holds my attention. Im a huge WASP fan. They are the only band from the 80s that I really like (other than the thrash bands). The production on here is really really impressive for a live album. This album may be a live album, but it is a must have for any WASP fan. Plus the PMRC hated WASP with their lyrics and stage shows, which is another reason this is a must buy. Harder Faster, has a pretty cool guitar riff and a hilarious message to the PMRC. Check this album out, if you like 80s metal youll love WASP.

Ahhhhh 1987.I had just started High School,my rebellion against authority in all forms was blossoming like a pungent flower and W.A.S.P were all the encouragement I needed to flip the middle finger to rules and regulations.W.A.S.P were anti-establishment anti -feminism anti religion anti Government and had balls and attitude that was in your face more-so than any band of the era. It's frontman Blackie Lawless had a lot to say and did he say it well!
Live In The Raw showcases this band at their best.Recorded at Long Beach Arena at the end of their 86-87 World Tour it is a feast of unrelenting energy laced with gluttony, misogyny, thinly veiled pornography and a few speils from Blackie himself to the audience that are both humourous and venomous at the same time. The tracklisting is a little wanting but as W.A.S.P had only released two albums and an EP at that stage of their career they didn't have a helluva lot of material to work with.Their catalogue these days is nothing short of impressive.Definitely a must-have for any W.A.S.P fan and a good starting point for anyone who wants to hear most of the best of their earlier songs. The production is excellent for a live album. The later editions have some extra tracks, but do little to enchance it IMHO.

I'm a long-time fan of Blackie Lawless and his boys, and have been to many a show (since back in the "throw raw meat into the audience" days. If there ARE still any W.A.S.P. virgins out there, do yourselves 2 favors: 1-GO TO A FREAKIN' SHOW ALREADY! & 2-Wear black or stay at the back of the crowd). I first got this killer disc back when it was originally released, and, much like my first CD of K.F.D., literally played it to death. This is a very visual band, and while it's true you can't watch an audio recording (unless you've reached new depths of boredom and like watching it spin), this disc and the later "Double Live Assasins" are as good as it gets without a mosh pit. For pure, brain-scrambling metal, this is one of the best!
