5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting, inspiring!, September 23, 2002

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sings with joy to the Lord, whether it's a slower song such as "Praise You" or the upbeat "Excited About Jesus". The soloists are all good, especially the incomparable Damaris Carbaugh who sings "I Am Not Ashamed" and "His Grace is Greater". There is a nice mix of tempos and each song is sung with intensity and from the heart. The song that embodies each musician on this CD is "Giving My Best" and "We Come Rejoicing" because they certainly do both. This is a real blessing!

This review is from: Live: We Come Rejoicing (Audio CD)
This is the first album that I heard from the BTC and it was great. I got hooked on them right from the start. The BTC is so uplifting in their songs. Carol Cymbala does an outstanding job in the way she conducts this choir through her talents in which only the Lord could bring. This choir never ceases to amaze me at what they can do.The BTC is the best choir you will ever hear. Do not wait one more minute - buy this album today!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have, August 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Live: We Come Rejoicing (Audio CD)
This was the first Brooklyn Tabernacle we got about 7 years ago. We literally wore out the cassette so we had to get the CD. What a great way to worship. Timeless songs of praise that are just as good today as they were yesterday. Carol Cymbala is so talented!

This CD contains a great variety of tempos and moods in songs performed by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, but each piece is a sincere praise to God and a blessing to the listener. Damaris Carbaugh has a fantastic and distinctive voice, and she stands out among a group of excellent soloists. For a CD which displays great love of God and which inspires the listener, this is a good choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is a blessing time everytime I hear it!, July 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Live: We Come Rejoicing (Audio CD)
This choir has no bad songs. A blessing is received everytime I play the tapes and the CD's (I have both of each!) I never turn the radio on to hear the depressing news of the day when I can be lifted up with the wonderful voices of the choir. I love every song. I thank God for them, those songs and testimonies brought me through some rough times.

Produced by Neal Joseph and Carol Cymbala, this recording is incredibly powerful. With songs like "Take Up Your Cross," "I am not Ashamed," "We Come Rejoicing," "Holy is the Lord," it resonates with the voices and talents of this choir with intensity and passion.

If you are looking for an intimate moment or moments in the quite of your car or your living room, get this tape and bathe in the presence of those who worship the King.

Highly recommended!!!

This is a fantastic song with the choir and Damaris. The words are so beautiful and I feel so inspired when I hear it. It makes me feel proud to be a child of God and that I represent Jesus Christ here on earth and that God believes in me to do the job he has called me to do.
