4.0 out of 5 stars Lively and Live Pagan Music, May 8, 2007
This review is from: Live Religion (Audio CD)
I bought this CD about a year ago on the recomendation of a Wiccan online friend in the Netherlands who has seen this group live several times. I was not disappointed, just a little lost at the Dutch dialog. Fortunatly for me, this friend e-mailed me a translation of the dialog and the spoken parts of the last three tracks are in English.

This is one of the best live recordings I have ever heard. There is very little noise from the audience and no static or feedback. Both instruments and vocals recorded sharply and you can easily imagine that you are there. There is also a good selection of still photos and two videos on the CD if you play it in your computer. The German group Fuan plays with them for the last three songs and they mesh very well.

The music varies from quieter numbers like Mabon and Bran while Saltalio makes you feel like dancing and Morrigan builds up to a peak with the audience joining in at the last part. By the way, I once used this song in ritual and it fit the purpose very well. The last song Aufa Luonto is based on a Finnish magickal chant and I believe it could also work well in a ritual setting. I would recommend this CD for anyone who likes Pagan music with punch and a lively edge.
