I first heard Jorge Ben Jor when I picked up David Byrne's Beleza Tropical. Live in Rio is awesome Afro-Brazilian rhythm and funk and the sound quality is excellent. Nevermind looking for his greatest hits, they're all here. Live in Rio Part II is also good but Part I is a must-have.

Jorge Ben Jor concerts: as good as sex, April 4, 2011

Jorge Ben is known as the "James Brown of Brazil", and with good reason. At a time when other brazilian composers were experimenting with "Tropicalismo", Jorge infused his particular sound with funk, setting himself apart from the crowd. This is a great concert recording that captures the infectuous energy of a Jorge Ben concert which has been described by another famous Brazilian composer as being "as good as sex". High praise.
This is actually supposed to be a two disc set, but I have yet to find disk 2 in the USA.
If you like this cd, go buy the MT Acustico of Jorge Ben done on an MTV set, it's maravilhoso!
