However, the best part of the CD for me was the energy of the crowd and how the band seemed to respond. Matt is on fire, and you can tell Dom and Chris are having a blast. Muse have called this show their best of the tour, and I can see why.
One last thing - get the blu ray if you can! I got the DVD, and while it's still wonderful, I'd really appreciate the phenomenal 4K quality.
The 2nd Law has not been my favorite Muse CD, but after viewing the concert I want to give some of the songs that I tended to pass up on the CD more play. Follow Me, Guiding Light, Explorers, and Panic Station were more commercial than I tend to like, but I enjoyed them very much as part of this concert. Supremacy, Knights of Cydonia (with it's haunting harmonica intro), Animals, Follow Me, Hysteria, Feeling Good, Madness, Time is Running Out, Supermassive Black Hole, and Uprising were my favorites in the Rome concert. Time is Running Out has to be one of the best concert songs of all time.
I saw Muse perform live at Uncasville, CT this spring with the same pyramid set they used in the Extras songs; having a recording of this set is a particular treat for me. Stockholm Syndrome sounded edgy and raw compared with the Rome concert. The use of the pyramid with the haunting blue eye is visually captivating. Unsustainable opened the US Arena shows and the song and light show exemplifies Muse's creative range. We also get to see Chris sing lead on his song, Liquid State. The final Extra is a short film called The Road, set to the music of Animals, it is a look at the roadie pre- and post-production activities that goes into the concert experience. Don't miss any of the extras.
The editing of the concert is less frantic than for the H.A.A.R.P.Read more ›
The images are stunning, nothing else is comparable to this for clarity, detail and definition, also with low lights.
The DTS HD-MA 5.1 audio track is powerful, precise and well calibrated. Super-highly recommended!!!
And for only $ 16.99 !!!!! Really ?

This is the best concert I have ever seen or heard. Never seen this many excited people since 1969 in Saugatuck. Sound and video dam near perfect. You need more stars for this one.Published 25 days ago by T DRUMMOND
Most of the stuff is on the Blu-ray. Kind of a waste unless you're into watching concerts rather than listening to them.Published 28 days ago by Spartakuss
This is a great combo from the best live performing band I have ever seen. Although it's not as good as being there, it is still really good.Published 1 month ago by Jacob Tobin
Beautiful. This is what every Rock show tries to be. Incredibly elaborate and spectacular.Published 1 month ago by mellow_jello
If you've never seen Muse live, this is as close to the real thing as it gets. Actually got to see this when it played at the Sunshine Movie theater here in my neighborhood. Read morePublished 2 months ago by LoveBellamy
Read multiple reviews saying it wasnt that good. And i agree. The sound recording is horrible. I feel they did not take full advantage of the dts-ma audio. Read morePublished 3 months ago by savvy shoper

This is a CD/Blu-Ray combo. The blu-ray has the movie on it and the CD has the audio, but both have different track listings.

Don't worry, the Rome concert is amazing, and a this blu-ray is a steal at Amazon's price. And there are three additional songs from "video pyramid" concerts in the extras.
