An amazing live document!,

I should preface this by stating I am not generally a fan of live albums, and generally view them as a souvenir of an event or something to complete a collection by an artist. Musically this is top notch, finding both the instrumentation by Dave Ball and the singing by Marc Almond in fine form. Thankfully the applause is mixed to a minimum letting the performance stand out. It makes me doubly sad that their San Francisco preformance at the end of their U.S. tour never transpired. Hopefully this won't be the last document of a wonderful collaboration but a summation of what they've accomplished so far (the "Cruelty with Beauty" tracks are amazing) and will pave the way for future creations!

Based soley on Monoculture and Memorablia this is one fantastic live cd. But wait, there's more! The Art of Falling Apart,Say Hello Wave Goodbye,Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go,Martin...the list goes on and on. Good clean sound, minimal audience noise,Dave Ball's electronic sonics, and Marc vocals everything fits tightly. Marc actually sounds like he is having fun and it is infectious. Lotsa hidden jewels in this one,Last Chance for example makes the audience laugh. What a rapporte developes. Many UK charting singles.
Two cds of a good night out. Let's do it 1..2..3..Sex Dwarf. Rockus maximus! |
